8.2 / 10.0 - V Rising
May 26, 2024

V Rising is a tough game, but a damned good one. The learning curve is steep and while there are already guides out there for enhancing your playthroughs, the game offers so much variety and so many ways to accomplish things that even if you suck at it, you crave for more!

When playing Outcast 2 you can feel that it was a labour of love. While not exceptional, what the game does it does well, and in certain areas it's actually quite outstanding. It's not a game for everyone and the price tag is quite high for an AA production, but if you're a fan of this kind of stuff, you're in for a treat. A cheesy treat that's janky here and there, but a treat nonetheless.

7.5 / 10.0 - Sand Land
May 10, 2024

Sand Land wraps Akira Toriyama’s charm in a decent action RPG that serves as an adequate entry point to the Sand Land franchise.

Endless Ocean Luminous could be far better in a lot of ways, but as it stands it's good enough to have eked out a decent chunk of my time collecting hundreds of fish and hunting down the elusive mythical beasts!

It's a faithful port of the arcade game which adds two extra stages, but it is massively underwhelming for anyone hoping for something fun to play.

Alone in the Dark was a reboot I've been looking forward to and actually had on my list of pre-orders prior to receiving a review copy, so needless to say, I was excited to play it and it didn't disappoint. It lays a good foundation for a series relaunch, even if it seems quite polarising. There's a very noticeable disparity between how the game is scored by reviewers compared to how it's scored by fans, so I can't help but wonder if there's still a place in our hearts for an "old school" horror game like this, something that's more chilling than it is frightening. Me? I love this kind of stuff, and I can only hope that there's enough gamers who think alike to justify a sequel. C'mon Pieces, Hell's Kitchen awaits! Surely we haven't seen the last of Edward Carnby... right?

Abandoning all charm and fun that the franchise is known for, South Park: Snow Day! manages to deliver one of the most disappointing games I’ve played in a long time. If you’re a South Park fan, this will just make you yearn for the already existing better games. And if you’re not? All you have to look forward to is mediocre gameplay and unattractive graphics. Your time and money are better spent literally anywhere else.

I cannot express any more admiration for this title. It set out to provide comedic adventure action that draws inspiration from the games that the developers loved growing up. This title succeeds on every level in providing a well rounded and stellar experience that just keeps on giving.

7.5 / 10.0 - Inkulinati
Mar 25, 2024

While Inkulinati isn't groundbreaking by any means, its unique presentation draws you in. The title has a lot to offer to fans of the genre. While the game is not complex, it can surprise an unprepared player - its simplicity is deceptive. It's endearing, it's humorous and it's fun, what's not to like?

GoldenBullet (GoldenBullet)
8 / 10.0 - West Hunt
Mar 9, 2024

With fun party play, strategic depth, and the low price, West Hunt offers a very entertaining experience that anyone can just pick up and play. The graphics could be polished a little more but the underlying gameplay lead to intense and sometimes chaotic sessions. Its a very simple gameplay loop but sometimes, you don't need to complicate the formula to make a fun game.

Deamonhunters had some big shoes to fill given how the original Chaos Gate was not just a fond memory, but also a formative game from my childhood. Did it make the cut? Yes, it's precisely what I expected it to be, and I'm happy that it finally made its way to consoles. Some minor camera-related gripes aside, the game looks, sounds and plays great. Many-a-demons were slain in the last few days and I can now rest easy knowing that the galaxy is a little bit safer... at least until the DLC hits console storefronts. For the Emperor!
