When all is said and done, Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time is perfectly mediocre if a tad disappointing for fans of the series expecting more.

Disintegration held a lot of potential, and while its gravcycle is novel, the rest of the package doesn’t live up to the strategy it promises.

Dangerous Driving definitely has the spirit of Burnout, but it doesn’t exactly execute it in the way you’d want.

As someone who got to go see an actual supercross race, the game just didn’t grab me like the real thing did, but this is a product that’s 100% not made for me. Honestly, you probably already knew whether or not you were going to love this game before you even read this review.

Jurassic World Evolution is a serviceable game in the genre and the dinosaurs look absolutely stunning, but some highly questionable design decisions really hold back what could have been the next greatest park simulator.

3 / 5 - Extinction
Apr 10, 2018

Killing giant monsters in games is always fun, and Extinction has created a solid foundation for a great game. It’s just that what’s here isn’t much to justify its high price tag considering how much of an afterthought the campaign is and how all the other game-modes are practically identical.

Call of Duty: WW2 is a perfectly serviceable game, but for something that’s supposed to be the grand return to the WW2 era it feels more like a publisher reaction to Battlefield 1 than a genuine interest in doing something new with the setting.

3 / 5 - Loot Rascals
Mar 2, 2017

Loot Rascals is a bit of a frustrating package because the core concept is so damn interesting and well done, it’s just everything that surrounds it that sours the experience.

3 / 5 - Tyranny
Jan 20, 2017

There’s a frustratingly good idea in Tyranny, but you’ll have to push your way through an unstimulating plot and mediocre combat to find it.

Death by Game Show is, ultimately, a neat but flawed diversion that would be better if it weren't so needlessly frustrating and grindy so early on in the game.

3 / 5 - Deadpool

Deadpool is a solid enough action game, but if Deadpool himself isn't your cup of tea you might not want to bother picking this game up.

Mother Russia Bleeds is ultimately a competent, but somewhat forgettable entry in the beat'em-up genre.

3 / 5 - Crackdown 3
Mar 8, 2019

Against all expectations, Crackdown 3 managed to survive where others from that same E3 2014 show like Scalebound and Phantom Dust failed to see the light of day, but what we got was just a shinier version of a 2007 game.

While it's much less grand in scope compared to its predecessors, Anomaly Defenders is still a pretty decent tower defense game that fans of the genre will likely enjoy if they don't mind it not doing much new.

3 / 5 - Minimum

Minimum's a neat shooter with some nifty ideas but the lack of game modes and various issues prevent it from fully reaching its potential.

The Masterplan is a neat game that will definitely satisfy if you've been hungry for a heist game, but technical issues stop it from being something great.

There's a brilliant game hidden deep inside Styx: Master of Shadows but a lack of item variety, shoddy controls, and a horrid combat system keep its potential buried deep.

3.5 / 5.0 - Diablo IV
Jul 5, 2023

Diablo 4 has bursts of genuine fun in its oppressively gothic world, but as well-made as the entire thing is, it just ends up feeling incredibly sanitized and safe for what’s supposed to be the grand return of the franchise.

3.5 / 5.0 - Sludge Life 2

The vibes in Sludge Life 2 are immaculate and grimy, but like before I just wish it fleshed itself out some more.

Pentiment is probably the most interesting, uninteresting game I’ve ever played.
