If you can get past the purposeful pixelated graphics and 8-bit sounding music you’ll no doubt enjoy the throwback feel and pace this game has to offer. There’s a lot of frivolities to be had here if one decides to partake in it!

Aragami: Shadow Edition is a top-notch stealthy, almost puzzle/adventure hybrid game that allows you to play through zones the way you want. You can teleport from shadow to shadow or sneak and crouch or simply stealth kill all that get in your way. The game rewards all forms of play especially if you stick to that plan all the way through the chapter.

Bottom line, Legend Of Kay Anniversary for the Switch is a retro action-RPG platformer that shows some signs of age. You're not going to see anything new or inventive here and consequently, it's a game that you might want to wait on unless you're a die-hard Kay fan who wants to go portable. It also might be appropriate for most younger gamers, assuming you're okay with the mild humorous name-calling.

If you're a fan of "Escape Room" type puzzle adventure games then Whispering Willows should be at the top of your list in 2018! The game is beautifully drawn on a foundation of puzzles that aren't a free ride, but certainly, don't hinder your progress or make you feel inadequate.

Exorder is a good turn-based strategy game that is not for the beginning militarist. The game has robust multiplayer support and welcome touchscreen support but its unrelenting A.I. might be more frustration than desired.

Lego Harry Potter Collection for the Nintendo Switch is a nice, complete edition to the Switch's library. It being an eight-year-old port, the game does lack some of the conveniences we've come to enjoy in modern day Lego games.

My Time At Portia is an amazing simulation RPG game set in a charming, family-friendly setting. There's plenty of things to do in the game as well as several distinct types of gameplay, goals and approaches. Before you know it you'll be absorbed in the number of things you'd like to accomplish in the game as you whittle away hours on the real wall clock. What it boils down to is be prepared to answer the following question, best stated by Pathea and Team 17, when you pick this game up, "How will spend your time in Portia?".

8 / 10.0 - Shadowgate
May 1, 2019

Shadowgate for the Nintendo Switch is a wonderful rendition of the 8-bit NES version that is near and dear to many of our hearts. This rendition isn't merely a direct port but a re-imagining that still holds true to the classic Shadowgate formula. Shadowgate is perhaps one of the earliest point-and-click adventure games conceived and with this modernized version it gets to renew its crown!
