Conan Exiles is a pretty good game with some excellent visuals, but while the Early Access was perhaps 50% there, the full release only reaches about 75%. Perhaps one day it will reach 100.
Mortal Shell's incredibly strong start peters out as you learn more and more about the limitations of the gameplay and the world Cold Symmetry try to establish.
City of Brass is a fun and swashbuckling adventure that gets seriously hamstrung by its clumsy and sluggish controls. Recommended to any masochist out there who wants to get punished on the go and doesn't mind looking past some issues.
All in all, Space Hulk is a really fun and tense shooter that is best enjoyed with friends. Unlike many other similar games, the single player, despite its flaws, has something to offer lone wolves as well.
Tactics is almost the tactical Warhammer game of my dreams but a lack of stakes and variety makes it stumble on the finish line.
A fun albeit barebones survival RTS best enjoyed with a friend, Conan Unconquered is hampered by technical issues as well as a serious lack of content.
GreedFall has some of the most compelling characters and storylines so far this year. Unfortunately, they're buried by dated technology and a serious lack of polish.
Rain of Reflections Chapter 1: Set Free is a competent point and click adventure with fun ideas and an interesting world. Unfortunately, the game's short length and poor voice acting prevent it from becoming great.
The gameplay is good and the music is fantastic, but the lack of variety and a failure to really stand out among the stiff competition hamstrings Black Future ‘88.
Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia is decent tactical RPG that doesn’t quite reach greatness. Recommended for anyone who loves shonen anime and collecting monsters.
Hitching framerates and drab visuals take away from an otherwise decent hack and slash with a terrific atmosphere.
Monster Slayers is a neat and simple little game lacking in the strategy department with some irritating port issues stopping it from hitting the heights. A perfect game for turning down the volume and just listening to some audiobooks or podcasts while you slay, die and slay again.
A laundry list of shortcomings with Call of Cthulhu prevent this betentacled Great Old One from rising very far. Still, its b-movie charm does have something to offer to those who can ride out the rougher spots.
Fun combat and great co-op do their best to mitigate the shortcomings Chaosbane has with its serious lack of variety.
Ion Fury can be a fun time, but you will start to feel the age of the game design before long. Only for real nostalgia junkies.
