"WOULD YOU KINDLY?", Atlas - Bioshock
8.5 / 10.0 - LocoRoco Remastered

The game is well put altogether. It has its moments when it gets mundane since you are doing the same action all throughout the levels. But along the way, bright crisp colors, lively characters, the uncanny way LocoRoco fluidly morphs to landscapes and the charming music makes players just play without any commitments and with no pressure on the story line.

Some may find these types of gameplay a challenge but I find it cumbersome even with the realization I had earlier. Patience could get you so far but not far enough to probably finish the game. Moments of satisfaction are the things that I look forward to and coming up with tactics. Overall this game needs not only your patience but your ability to observe and to be bold enough to commit mistakes and still have fun.

I like it that missions are replayable especially if you miss to collect a certain coin, this also helps in your experience with combining different cards to have the most successful outcomes. This game is like a mashup of a card game, board game and an RPG game that blends really well together. A very solid game, it’s that little gem that needs to be known by everyone.

In general, the macabre that The Evil Within 2 brings is spectacular that times you can’t help it but admire the ‘artwork’ it supposedly brings. The adverse perception of this game: portraits coming to life, a door that wasn’t there in the first place, walking on stairs that you didn’t realize was there – messing up your sense of directions gives a foreboding horror while you explore.

Detroit: Become Human clearly lets my genuine emotion out of me, I wasn’t sure if I was impersonating how the character should have chosen or was it me doing those choices? A lot of those dialogues resonated with me, fighting and arguing over what I should’ve decided. I was so invested in the gameplay that every decision tends to get harder and harder – with an outcome that is so unforgiving and sometimes gratifying. This game is a twisted interpretation of an extreme reality: where segregation, racial discrimination, slavery and mental abuse still exists. I truly believe that a lot of people can identify themselves with the character at some point for so many different reasons and it shows us that wrong decisions are sometimes necessary to get the job done. The algorithm in coming up with those intricate flowchart is a masterpiece on its own. So who says you can’t learn a thing or two in a video game? It even showed me how to become more human. Don’t you agree?

If you enjoy dark, metaphorical games with Tim Burton-esque aesthetics then ultimately this game is right up your alley. It's a game that stays with you forever, leaving you and your friends a lot of arguments on what the game is really trying to tell us.
