Loved - Sparc

So with all that being said, you should go right now and get SPARC. This is one of those games that is a blast to play and one that, at least for me, I want to keep coming back to play again and again and again.

Liked - Sneaky Bears

While I would have loved for there to be an online leader board, the setting of a warehouse with it’s immersion of VR almost feels like it’s you against the survival of humans. Even while playing and seeing Frank come on to deliver his clever and humorous messages (that I really enjoyed and laughed at), I had this sense of he was wanting to play a game and the whole time the warehouse factory was one big room where at any time, it would be the end for Buddy, the Pandas, and me. I was more than happy to prove Frank wrong and put an end to those Evil Sneaky Bears. It was a 'beary' good time.

Loved - Manifest 99
Sep 22, 2017

Sometimes in life the choices we make will have that butterfly effect and we are not even aware. But like The CROW, sometimes the soul cannot rest and some times, the soul can be brought back to put the wrong things right. With Manifest 99, do yourself a favor, pick this up and feel free to take your time and enjoy the journey.

With October and Halloween being here before we know it and when you add everything including the humor, level design, controls and combos, Bloody Zombies is what I was hoping for…a throw back to side scrolling brawlers that you can play with friends or online all while adding zombies and blood and in VR. This is one game that will help you get into the spirit of the Halloween season along with just a fun game all around to play. Loved it.

Sometimes games and experiences seem to go for the rush factor and then it's over with no real follow up and no real story to tell. So there should be more adventures that will allow everyone who loves Voltron and anyone who loves the opportunity to be taken away to another world and just for that time you are there, you are seeing through the eyes of the story. What Voltron VR Chronicles is what it wanted to be...what it's fans needed it to be.

End Space VR really adds something special to the point of wanting to keep playing just to better my own score. I honestly cannot wait to see what Orange Bridge Studios Inc, does next.

Liked-a-lot - Light Tracer

Light Tracer does something that makes it feel new. It takes what we already know, blends it, and just makes you change the way you think and for that I honestly appreciate the fresh take on this platformer of light.

Loved - Raw Data
Oct 19, 2017

Raw Data that much more better. But you do get a lot here; Immersive VR…check. A story with heroes…check. Being able to move in 360 degrees with enemies coming at you…check and leaderboards…check. It’s all here and for that, you are truly getting an Intense VR Sci-Fi Combat game to add to your library that will be experienced for a long time.

What you may not know is that Megaton Rainfall was created by just one person, Alfonso del Cerro, over a five year span. This part is very true including the engine. So just take that in for a minute. One dream…one person and the result is one of the best super hero games to ever grace our presence.

Fishing Master does what it strives to do. Adding a fishing experience in VR in your own home when you want to be able to do it with an arcade tone to it. The visuals are good and is not striving to have photo-realistic scenes to it and it doesn’t need to and doesn’t have to show how fun it can be. Sound wise, it’s what I expect. Hearing the water to hearing the fish jump out of the water, it’s here. The music can seem repetitive to some but does get more intense when you start having to struggle to try and catch the fish. And trying to fish at night while fireworks are going off or fishing by the Northern Lights is something that really needs to be experienced.

With 30 levels of increasing pressure and difficulty as you progress, you are not going to get that change of scenery and that’s ok because you are serving food to the dead. I did find Dead Hungry quite immersive being in that confined place of the kitchen inside a food truck. To look around and see a zombie at the window or looking at the background and seeing another zombie prepare under a tent just adds something special.

Liked-a-lot - Discovery
Nov 10, 2017

As you build to explore and explore to build, Discovery is refreshing and with the grassy, desert and snowy lands, the TNT to blow things up and even digging and going through tunnels, there is nothing else like it right now on PlayStation VR.

Now as you can tell, I am not going to spoil anything for anyone. If you love Until Dawn and Until Dawn: Rush of Blood and you really enjoy the Until Dawn universe, then do yourself a favor and go play this now as it could only really be brought to life in Virtual Reality. If you are new to the Until Dawn universe, you just might find your inner persona that has been locked up and looking to be freed by playing The Inpatient.

Apex Construct like I said was built from the ground up for VR and it shows. You can tell the team cares for and has this passion for Virtual Reality. I have always said that VR allows us to escape from our reality. When you can escape to a world and makes you start questioning what is going on and is it really up to me and start to question humanities actions, then something is right. Apex Construct gives us just that, an escape to a world, even if it may be a world like ours that is ripped apart and what could possibly happen and shows us why we should appreciate VR.

Loved - Moss
Feb 28, 2018

Moss really has something for everyone. Adventure, combat, puzzles, friendship, and even the world itself. The narration is spot on and just pulls you in and not wanting to look back, but yet somehow makes you remember the beauty of what you and Quill already have. When a game is played in VR it allows us to escape, but when that game allows us to escape within the escape, that is something special. It just goes to show that sometimes the biggest heroes come in the smallest packages.

When you add the neon lights, the 90’s throwback, endless modes, daily challenges, and leaderboards, there is just something that is too sweet and something to look forward to when you play Blasters of the Universe.

Liked-a-lot - Animal Force
Jul 21, 2018

Animal Force doesn’t limit you to traditional rules but gives you the freedom to allow you to play in your style of defense…to play your way. There is something special about animals joining together to help and protect and all I can say is I am pro Animal Team Force all the way. Sometimes we play games in hopes that a new standard of a genre will be set so others can try to meet and exceed that standard so that everyone can enjoy and it that may have happened here.

There is something about not taking yourself too seriously and allowing others to escape and have fun with your creation that makes it all worth it and goes to show that sometimes it’s the gems that may have been overlooked are the ones that can actually surprise us by the fun that we can have.

Liked-a-lot - Detached
Jul 31, 2018

Detached is not your normal gaming experience. There are no weapons, no enemies trying to attack you. It is just you the cold, dark place of space. Anshar Studios does something here that you may not normally see. Sure there are risks every single day, but to take the risk of bringing what very may well be the exact experience of being weightlessness in space and bringing the danger of being out there alone, with limited supplies, and facing what could be the end as we know it. And even with the warning at the beginning that Ansar Studios has placed, I respect the chance they took and appreciate for allowing me to have my wonders finally answered and for allowing me the ability to just be able to spin in space.

Pixel Ripped 1989 does what it sets out to do, to pay homage to the gaming past and tries not to repeat but takes the memories and enjoyment of gaming and giving that homage the respect it deserves.
