Dead Cells plays like a best-of series from many groundbreaking ideas of the last decades: artwork and gameplay are brilliant, controls are flawless, the motivation curve is surprisingly steep and all the components are so good well mixed together that you are going to forget time. Though Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice goes in terms of storytelling and rpg mechanics more compact ways than his spiritual predecessors, it turns up his expectations on your skillset much higher and delivers you a total new, stunning and challening experience, which demands anything and shouldn`t be missed out by any fan of well-kept hardcore games. With the exception of From Softwares typical problems with the camera and a little headstrong lootmechanic, Sekiro is indefinitely a must-have and potential contender for the game of the year.

8.7 / 10.0 - Blazing Chrome
Jul 12, 2019

Blazing Chrome is a suprisingly massive action orgy, that plays like a spiritual successor to the legendary Contra Hard Corps with a theme from Terminator, which doesn`t bring up anything new on the table, but is simply awesome in its whole execution. A must-buy for fans of Contra and friends of bombastic run and gun action with lots of love in detail.

Even that the changes to the original from 2014 are very small and the price is higher than the original release on the WiiU back in 2014, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze is a gorgeous and awesome playable plattformer and probably the best AAA-Jump N`Run you have faced in years. An absolute no-brainer for fans of the genre.

Yo-Kai Watch 3 is a very well made RPG and Adventure mixture, that scores with funny characters, lots of content and a good polished Gameplay, but has his little fights with the combat system, which is kind of hectic and sometimes a bit confusing. 8.5 / 10.0 - Mortal Kombat 11
Apr 21, 2019

Though the Netherrealm Studios delivered with Mortal Kombat XI a polished title with a great production and a overall well made storymode, the excessive grind to unlock new costumes might scare off some players over time and the adaption of existing bugs from its predecessors crosses our lack of understanding, but fans of the series and friends of gory fighting games still get served well and extensive.

Project Aces and Bandai Namco deliver with Ace Combat 7 - Skies Unknown the usual fine package out of spectucular aerial combat, a diversified missiondesign with very well-made controls and a splendid original score, but also struggles with issues in performance and a dull storytelling. Fans of the series and friends of uncomplicated and exciting dogfights still should this one their buylist.

8.4 / 10.0 - Wargroove
Feb 9, 2019

Wargroove is a good tactics game, which manages to deliver nearly the same experience as advance wars all bundled with a big content, a massive level editor and diversified missiondesign, but also stays without little exceptions in the comfortzone of his template and struggles with some inconsequences in artwork and sound. Fans of Advance Wars and tacticsgames still are served best here and should definitely pick this one up.

8.4 / 10.0 - WRC 8
Sep 14, 2019

In terms of gameplay, WRC 8 goes on par with DiRT Rally 2.0 on the first place, but due to it`s stiff presentation, the partly outdated menu navigation and the high boarding hurdle it still can`t hold on with Codemasters paragon. Fans of rally-sports and detailed driving mechanics should add the title to their collection anyway, due that content and gameplay can convince on the entire line.

BlazBlue Crosstag Battle is a well made Tag-Team Crossover Brawlfest, which has a simple-to-learn but deep-rooted gameplay mechanic and delivers a shallow, but funny story and a very good running onlinemode. Fans of the genre and the different series should definitely give it a try.

8.3 / 10.0 - Daemon X Machina
Sep 10, 2019

Daemon X Machina delivers massive mecha-action in the style of Armored Core, that in fact sets no new impulses to the genre, has to fight with an actual interesting, but weak presented story and could scare off some new entrants with the loadout-mechanics, but actually plays very well and delivers enough inducement to play it beyond the story mode. Fans of Armored Core and mecha-action in general eventually find enough reasons for a buy.
