Peter Lopez's Reviews

I love Nintendo games and currently working to receive a B.S in Print Journalism.
4 / 10.0 - Star Ghost

Though gameplay mechanics borrow from trendy, classic games from the past, it wasn't enough to keep me intrigued.

5 / 10.0 - Nine Parchments
Dec 30, 2017

Nine Parchments has a lot of potential, it's just too bad most of that potential didn't make the final cut.

SteamWorld Heist: Ultimate Edition executes tactical, turn-based combat well and greatly improves on the original, all while adding the latest DLC into the equation, which is essentially more icing on the cake.

Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King does a great job at paying homage to the Zelda franchise, and though a few things were found to be annoying at times, it's still very much a great game to play and definitely worth your time.

Ambition of the Slimes is a decent game to play, but it does have some noticeable faults as well.

6 / 10.0 - Aegis Defenders

Aegis Defenders is very much a decent game to play that successfully blends action-platforming and tower defense together.

Payday 2 is an average first-person shooter for Nintendo Switch that isn't that great and should be skipped if possible.

4 / 10.0 - Punch Club
Jun 28, 2018

Although the concept of the game is pretty cool, Punch Club doesn't really provide a lot of entertainment. It does, however, inspire you to head to the gym and lift some real-life weights or perhaps run on a treadmill for an hour or so.

9 / 10.0 - Runbow
Jul 6, 2018

Runbow is such an awesome game to play on the Nintendo Switch. It's absolutely, 100 percent, worth another purchase if you already own the game on Wii U or Nintendo 3DS. It's a blast mostly with friends on the same couch, but if you intend to fly solo, know there is something there for you too.

Wolfenstein II for the Nintendo Switch is action-packed and full of awesome Nazi killing. But a few things hold the game back from reaching its full potential on the latest Nintendo platform, which makes it a little more ideal to play the game on other supported consoles if you have them available.

10 / 10.0 - Miles & Kilo
Jul 21, 2018

Miles & Kilo is a simple game at heart which takes a very basic game design and innovates on the genre by implementing its own little flavor. Its like Super Mario Bros., but with a dog and it happens to be more challenging than the inspiration. It's certainly a must buy, even if you haven't played it before.

5 / 10.0 - Cycle 28
Aug 1, 2018

Cycle 28 is an interesting title with good background music, but it also shows you everything it has to offer within minutes, making this an average game for the Nintendo Switch.

Although it does share a few good, similarities when compared to the inspiration, enjoyment is sadly not one of them, and if I wanted to play a Limbo-esque game I would just rather play Limbo instead.

In a nutshell, Shikhondo is a decent game to play on the Nintendo Switch. Again, it seems as if it's mostly for individuals who favor similar gameplay to that of Ikaruga. It can be quite challenging here and there, mostly because cannon-fire comes at you in multiple directions. But the soundtrack and artstyle are both great in their own respects, making this package a mediocre one at best.

4 / 10.0 - Velocity 2X
Oct 28, 2018

While Velocity 2X deserves merit for blending two different forms of gameplay into one hefty treat, 2X quickly becomes bland after the course of only a few minutes.
