I mostly had a great time with Stellar Blade with its combat being the real star of the show. Although exploration doesn't offer much exciting, it's still a worthwhile action adventure game that you're sure to have a lot of fun with. đĄī¸
SaGa Emerald Beyond is a wonderful RPG for anyone who loves experiencing multiple worlds and stories while partaking in incredibly gratifying encounters against imaginative enemies. This is the sort of game that we need more of. đ
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade: Wrath of the Mutants provides simple beat 'em up entertainment that can be kind of fun for a couchful of chums. However, its middling nature certainly leaves a lot to be desired. đ
Although I love the original and most of the games that it inspired, I found Lunar Lander Beyond to ironically be a step back. Yes, it can still be a rewarding game but the sense of accomplishment will often only come after much frustration. đ
My gaming chum and I absolutely adore Ready, Steady, Ship! and we can't wait for even more factory fun so bring on the DLC and sequel, please. It's a genuinely unique co-op experience that's packed with variety; every genre enthusiast simply needs to play it. đĻ
Gigantic: Rampage Edition is a lot of fun and I'm very happy that they brought it back after years of being left in the gaming graveyard. It may not be a huge step up but what's here is still sure to entertain anyone who loves a chaotic online funfest. đĸ
Let's! Revolution! is one of the cleverest puzzle games that I've played in a long time and it will certainly get you hooked thanks to its delightfully lovely visuals and contemporary take on a classic formula. Who knew that regicide could be this much fun? đ
Rainbow Moon may not be for everyone but those who really get into it will love it a lot so I definitely recommend it to anyone who has an affinity for slow-paced SRPG adventures and doesn't mind grinding in order to unlock their full potential. đ
Flightpath: Adventures in Venaris is a genuinely entertaining shoot 'em up that you can spend hours with and still discover more you can do in its distinct campaign and clever customisation component. It may not be arcade-like but I still recommend it to any shmup fan. đŠī¸
I'm very happy that Freedom Planet 2 not only lives up to its phenomenal predecessor but surpasses it in many ways. With stellar gameplay, oodles of supplementary mechanics and content, and a bubbly cast of characters that you'll love; it's one wonderful game. đĒ
Felix the Cat remains one of my favourite gems from the NES library and I'm very happy that they brought it back for modern gamers to enjoy. Here's hoping we get a Baby Felix compilation next with those cute tennis and Halloween games. đ¸
The Legend of Legacy HD Remastered offers a promising RPG formula that's unfortunately weighed down by frequent frustrations and unnecessary tedium. Thankfully, The Alliance Alive was born from this which is a vastly superior experience. âī¸
I loved the many mini-adventures within Princess Peach: Showtime! and hope that it inspires folks to enjoy the theater with its imagination-fueled campaign full of dress-up challenges that'll make you believe you can be anything you set your heart to. đ¸
Rise of the Ronin is a great action-packed open-world experience that starts very strong but as time goes on, it definitely starts to become repetitious; mostly due to its lack of variety and memorable boss fights. It's still generally a lot of fun, though. đ¯
Dragon's Dogma 2 is a top-notch experience for anyone who loves undertaking challenging open-ended adventures at their own pace. It's definitely old-school in its approach but the lack of modern amenities certainly makes it stand out amongst its contemporaries. đ
Rebel Transmute may be my new favourite Metroid-inspired game as it emulates what made the original special in a wonderful way.
Attack of the Karens is a funny game that I recommend playing for its humour but as a shoot 'em up, it doesn't do much to stand out.
Yes, Outcast - A New Beginning doesn't feel like a modern game and that's actually its primary appeal so if you have fond memories of 15 year old action adventure games then you'll love what's in store for you in this open-ended planet-exploring journey.
With a vast collection of included games and a great deal of historic documents, Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Story is a treasure trove.
If you love retro racing games then I have great news because New Star GP is one of the best and it will surely keep you hooked.
