Mick Fraser's Reviews

I'm currently the Tips & Guides Editor at GodisaGeek.com but I've been at the site for almost four years. I've reviewed around 150 games in that time, and edited many, many others. I love games and gaming, and really dislike negativity. This industry is meant to be about fun, right? Quick facts: I'm married with four children, I don't like sweetcorn, I have no hair but all my own teeth.
10 / 10.0 - Bloodborne

Thrilling and masterfully crafted, Bloodborne is a gorgeous, grim and gruelling adventure, and unarguably the first essential exclusive of this generation.

This enhanced edition of Grand Theft Auto V seems determined to make you forget it was ever last gen - and it will probably succeed, too.

Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition is the game Diablo fans deserve. Granted, there are still areas to improve – Adventure Mode, for example, still feels a little like an experiment rather than the finished article – but this is as close to perfect as we've yet been. Still the undisputed King of the Action RPG lootathon, Diablo 3: RoS adds so many tiny little bonuses alongside the major changes that you can't help but admire Blizzard's dedication and perseverance.

Iceborne is one of the very best examples of how to produce paid content for a AAA game. It fixes almost all of World's issues, and adds so much to the package. It doesn't feel like an expansion; it feels like a sequel. A fantastic experience.

10 / 10.0 - Gears Tactics

Gears Tactics is big and brash at times, but it's also deep, intelligent and balanced, with all the heart and passion we've come to expect from a Gears game.

10 / 10.0 - World War Z
Nov 21, 2021

Overall, World War Z on the Switch is a fairly basic port of a decent zombie blaster. It was never quite good enough to trouble Left 4 Dead’s legacy and certainly won’t disturb Back 4 Blood, but it’s as close to either as we’re likely to see on Nintendo’s console any time soon.

Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew is simply the best example of the genre MiMiMi helped create.

Lies of P is a staggering achievement for Neowiz, and one of the very best "non-FromSoft" Soulslikes I've ever played.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is a masterclass in how to develop DLC. It slots in and out of the main story seamlessly but still manages to feel utterly essential and compelling.

Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth is a phenomenally good video game. It has a habit for self-indulgence, but earns every pause with some shocking story moments, and some of the best combat I've experienced.

While they vary ever so slightly in quality, with the original, for my money, edging out the others and number 2 valiantly bringing up the rear, all 3 games are incredibly playable and deeply compelling.
