90 / 100 - OneShot
Oct 1, 2022

OneShot: World Machine Edition offers all the best you can expect from a point-and-click adventure. There are creative and coherent puzzles with the gameplay system, and a captivating and, at times, surprising story. Added to all this is the curious way in which it plays with the game's own limits and even with a slip or another, it can become one of the favorite games of the genre for many people – myself included.

Let's Build a Zoo excels at balancing the already traditional mechanics of management games with huge doses of charisma and fun. However, it is in the genetic manipulation system and in the challenge of caring for its illustrious guests where it proves most brilliant, not by bringing megalomaniacal ideals, but by making what is simple into something enchanting.

Them's Fightin' Herds is an excellent fighting game that definitely deserves respect for its high audiovisual quality and solid gameplay, both online and offline. Not even the modest cast and uneven pace of the story mode detract from the fun and well-rounded experience of a game that exudes care and competence.

90 / 100 - Signalis
Nov 23, 2022

Signalis is a pleasant surprise explicitly inspired by the best-known survivor horrors of the 1990s. The title adopts typical 32-bit mechanics and aesthetics to build a sci-fi horror that manages to establish an immersive and thought-provoking identity.

Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth is one of the most important classic JRPGs in history, even if it is less well known than other titles in the genre, and this new version maintains all the best that the game represents. Even if one or another aspect seems dated, the whole remains beautiful, captivating, and charming, which guarantees it a top recommendation for old and new fans alike.

90 / 100 - Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts Legacy tells a great story of the wizarding world, with a beautiful audiovisual work and solid mechanics to the lore of this universe. Its greatest quality, however, lies in making all of this contribute to the fantastic experience of immersion and belonging that every fan has always dreamed of.

90 / 100 - Fight'N Rage
Feb 28, 2023

Fight'N Rage surpasses the bias of a modern clone of beat 'em up classics, deserving to be at the top alongside those that inspired it. It is fun, challenging in the right way, beautiful, and has some of the best soundtracks of all time. For fans of virtual beat 'em ups, it is practically mandatory.

90 / 100 - Tchia
Mar 20, 2023

With minor technical adjustments to be made, Tchia is a true masterpiece in all its aspects, which together allow us a journey through the rich and still unknown culture of New Caledonia. With solid and light gameplay, captivating graphics, mesmerizing music, and a subtle and delicate narrative, it is a simply delightful game.

Oxenfree II: Lost Signals not only honors its predecessor, but it also justifies its existence with a very well-developed narrative maturity. If the simple mechanics aren't appealing or even demanding for action fans, surely the well-written branching story can convince non-believers.

Some of its worst problems are solved by adding new narrative layers, improving problematic systems, and ultimately taking the game to the level we expected at launch.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged improves on everything that was already great about its predecessor, increasing game modes and mechanics to offer more diversity and quality of life to a simple but very fun game based on the charismatic toy cars.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink is excellent in everything it proposes and certainly has the best ingredients to please different audiences, even the most skeptical. Fluid, beautiful, objective and exciting in the right measure, the game is a sure presence on my list of favorites in the genre.

Mediterranea Inferno challenges the narrative, social and emotional conventions of what we have already seen in visual novels, and gets it right by problematizing conveniences in an unabashed and incisive way, without shame in saying, showing or poking at themes that are still so sensitive in a world that prefers to ignore its own scars.

More than a recommendation for its unique accessibility features, The Vale: Shadow of the Crown is, as a whole, a robust and very well articulated project. Aside from the lack of localization and advanced features of the new generation, it's an absolutely necessary game for each of us, psychics or not.

90 / 100 - Freedom Planet 2
Apr 2, 2024

Freedom Planet 2 takes its inspirations from one of the biggest franchises in video game history, but refines mechanics, design, and narrative that had already been introduced in the previous game. The sequel manages to improve on what was great and becomes one of the best exponents of the genre.

85 / 100 - My Friend Pedro
Apr 2, 2020

If there is one word that can describe My Friend Pedro, it is fluidity. All gameplay is based on the plasticity of movements, the cinematographic choreography and the remarkable moments - by quality or mediocrity - resulting from the player's action. With a disjointed narrative and few post-final incentives, the final result is still very positive, presenting a remarkable, addictive and extremely fun experience.

Star Wars: Squadrons offers a great experience within its proposal – the combat in classic ships of the franchise – with a satisfactory campaign and a robust multiplayer mode. With a competent look, its greatest strength is, in fact, in the sharp and balanced gameplay, not forgetting the franchise's inevitable appeal to fans of all ages.

85 / 100 - Wonder Blade
Nov 1, 2020

While originality is an important aspect, Wonder Blade is so adorable that it is virtually impossible not to like it. Everything works especially well, even though it is strange to have to go back to the initial menu to evolve some aspects of the character. The artistic style, animations and gameplay flow and the narrative and progression simplicity attest positively to the work.

85 / 100 - Ghostrunner
Nov 8, 2020

Without mercy, Ghostrunner is one of those games that you will hate the fact that you don't want to stop playing even when it looks like you've reached your limit. Narratively it does not present anything very significant, but it is visually incredible and presents agile and aggressive gameplay, and it does perfectly well what it proposes, even when it flirts with punitive exaggeration.

Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin is a game divided into two very well designed and distinct parts, but which at the same time are able to relate in a very cohesive and functional whole. Sometimes, it has a preciosity in the narrative cadence, but it has great mechanics both in combat and cultivation, a charming story and very good visuals.
