Metal Gear Solid Vol. 1 Master Collection slips into a game library like a good old book at home. It's necessary, even essential, to ensure that the great titles of the last few decades are still playable today.

All in all, The Last Of Us Part II - Remastered is a gem. The game is still a 10/10, but the paint job is not. Agreed, it's close to perfection, but unless you're a die-hard fan of the series, the additions alone don't justify a second adventure. They add spice, but don't change the recipe.

6.5 / 10.0 - Flashback 2
Dec 20, 2023

Flashback 2 is a pleasant surprise for the end of 2023. Admittedly, the game is far from perfect, especially in terms of gameplay. However, if we take a step back and accept that it won't be the game of the year, we can still enjoy it. It's all a question of managing our expectations. The cyberpunk ambience is successful and the story is well-crafted. You'll need 6-10 hours to complete Flashback 2. On that note, a few technical bugs that were preventing me from progressing were fixed on November 19 with a patch. As a result, I was able to finish the game on my own, and it took me around 9 hours to complete.

8.5 / 10.0 - Ghostrunner 2
Nov 22, 2023

In the end, Ghostrunner 2 isn't about the story, it's about action to the power of 1000. If you like cyberpunk atmospheres and gory action games like Doom, this is for you. You'll also need to be patient, as it takes a while to get used to the controls. Once you do, it's like butter in the pan, as they say. Finally, the developers offer us a revisited version of their Ghostrunner series, but don't reinvent the wheel. If you've never played the series, it's best to start with the 2nd, which is more complete. The story is less important in this type of game, and you won't miss much. So, are you ready to be a ghostrunner?

5.5 / 10.0 - Firewall Ultra
Nov 7, 2023

All in all, Firewall Ultra is a game full of promise, but which fails to deliver. What's more, in addition to making almost no use of the PS VR2 headset's technologies, the developers haven't mastered them very well. What's more, the graphics are pretty and you can have a lot of fun if you play with friends. And once again, with PS VR2's low market penetration, matchmaking takes a long time. Without being bad, Firewall Ultra doesn't seize the opportunity to place itself above the fray in the offering of games of this style. I'd recommend waiting for a discount, or buying it if you're a group of VR gamers.

All in all, Super Bomberman R 2 offers a well-stocked online mode, but disappoints in single-player. The pleasure of battles royales or other online options fades when you try to advance in the main story. Fortunately, there's something for everyone, and the game is still very enjoyable. The problem is that 2023 is a year in which several great games have been released, making it harder to justify the purchase of Super Bomberman R 2. Nevertheless, if you're a fan of the genre, you'll enjoy it. For others who are new to the title, you may want to hold out for a discount, or have it offered as part of a subscription service.

7.5 / 10.0 - AK-xolotl
Sep 25, 2023

AK-xolotl is an interesting and entertaining game. Available on all platforms, you'll have the chance to play it. At a more than affordable price, it's a title to put on your wish list. Admittedly, the gameplay isn't perfect, but the game's diversity means you'll get a lot of enjoyment out of it.

Vampire Survivors has quickly become one of my favorite games. Between two games of a big AAA title, it does its job of keeping us entertained, and we forget the time is passing. Simple and effective, it's accessible to everyone. In fact, I've had the chance to play it on all platforms. Some are more effective than others. I enjoyed my experience less on iOS/Android, as screen size plays a crucial role in our success.

To begin, you play the role of protagonist Camina Drummer. She soon becomes commander of the ship Artemis. Her crew are salvagers who scavenge for wreckage in space. Like any good narrative game, you'll have to make choices that will have consequences for the story. QTEs (quick actions) add an interesting element to the development of the story in The Expanse: A Telltale Series. The script is well written and the result is that you always want to know what happens next. Unfortunately, the controls in space aren't ideal and can be frustrating. On the other hand, it's not catastrophic, and the graphics are rather pretty. To fully understand the story of the members of the Artemis, I recommend that you read as many of the recordings as possible and delve into every nook and cranny. You'll learn more and become even more attached to the characters. Finally, the choices you make are represented in a chart. You can see this in the third image in the slideshow below. Don't worry, the titles don't mean much and I'm not divulging any important secrets.

8 / 10.0 - The Last Worker
Aug 10, 2023

All in all, The Last Worker is a good game for VR. Without being perfect, it has a good lifespan and an interesting story. Sprinkled with humor and challenges, the game will keep you laughing and occupied for a good while. Admittedly, it's aimed more at fans of series like Borderlands, but can also appeal to everyone. I think the experience is more interesting in virtual reality. That said, it's also playable without this technology. However, if you have the opportunity to try it out in VR, it's worth considering! Finally, there were a few technical issues that made me cringe on a few occasions. For all these reasons, The Last Worker is in my TOP 5 on PS VR2. For those interested, here it is:

9.5 / 10.0 - Final Fantasy XVI
Jul 13, 2023

Final Fantasy XVI enters my top 3 for 2023. With its gripping story and commendable graphics, Square Enix's latest offering is a masterpiece. Despite a few technical glitches, it verges on perfection. Its main character, Clive, takes us through a whole range of emotions. Add to this a masterful soundtrack, and we have all the ingredients to create a game that will go down as one of the best video games of the decade. Exclusive to the PS5, Final Fantasy XVI has the potential to become a system seller. For beginners, the developers have added a story mode. So you can enjoy the experience in a very gentle way. For purists, you can complete the game once again in extreme mode. Whichever way you play, I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun. After all, FFXVI could be a TV series, and it would be very popular. So, will you succeed in restoring peace to Valesthea?

9.5 / 10.0 - Street Fighter 6
Jun 19, 2023

All in all, Street Fighter 6 is one of the best games in the series, in my opinion. The World Tour alone is one of the reasons to buy the game. These days, it's not uncommon for titles to be supplemented by downloadable content. In this case, everything is included from the outset, and that's just as well! It's more than complete, and you'll have hours of fun fighting and progressing in this new opus from Capcom. It's sure to please regulars and casual gamers alike. For all these reasons, I recommend that you buy it, even at full price.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers is a big dissapointment for me. It was difficult to go back and play it regularly for the purpose of the review. Nevertheless, I think some fans of the franchise will appreciate the new concept that it brings. Just don't expect something as exceptionnal as the last Kakarot game or FighterZ.

New Tales of the Borderlands is a worthy successor to the original Telltales games. We feel the evolution of the adventure-narrative style. For some, the game may be redundant or less original, but overall 2K and Gearbox gave us a quality game. Despite the busy time of year for new releases, if you like the genre this should be on top of your list.

9 / 10.0 - Soulstice
Sep 24, 2022

I loved my experience with Soulstice. The fast pace of the game makes us never want to stop. The developers managed to combine different styles in a brilliant way. With the multiple difficulty levels, there's a challenge for everyone.

Although there's a very repetitive nature to the game, it is a very good compliment to the movie. Its very accessible which is perfect for a young audience and the progression system is actually pretty good. Even though I don't think it will please the older generations, it should make your kids smile a lot.

8.5 / 10.0 - Two Point Campus
Aug 21, 2022

Two Point Campus is a very relaxing game, which fits perfectly between more stressful and action oriented games. It's fun to create a life at University in your image and try to be the best school of all. The game remains a simulator, but the arcade aspect of the title is definitely very present. Finally, the fact that its on Game Pass makes it very accessible, but we definitely do prefer playing it on PC.

9 / 10.0 - Far Cry 6
Oct 6, 2021

This is one of the best Far Cry of the past few years. By selecting the Far Cry 3's tropical environment combined with the lighter elements of the previous game, Ubisoft hits a home-run. If it was not for the limitations of the graphical engine, the game would've taken us to new highs. Fans of the series will love Far Cry 6 while neophytes will be hooked to the series.

The Director's Cut of Death Stranding is one of the most beautiful PS5 games to date. A lot of the magic comes directly from the DualSense which adds a lot to the immersion especially with the haptic feedback. There might not be a long of new elements and asking for a premium to upgrade the original version does seem a bit greedy, but it's still a must for every PS5 owner that never played the original.
