Persona 5 is without a doubt one of the best JRPGs I have ever played, not only is its story worthy enough of dozens of hours, but also, it is a visual artwork masterpiece that even the ones who are not into JRPGs or turn based combat will be able to appreciate and admire since the first minute. With an explosion of eccentricity and psychological hyperbole Persona 5 starts with a fast pacing and ends in an artsy masterpiece worthy of standing ovation. Its world, characters, distorted but plausible realities and its overflow of art give Persona 5, with a wide margin, the right to be enlisted among the best titles of the years and to be proudly included in the list of the best JRPGs ever created.

Persona 5 is a monumental exemplary story-driven jRPG with a crazy design, unusual for videogame music and incredibly rich story, where you want to stay forever. A huge amount of content and new mechanics that open up as you progress through, unique dungeons, almost complete absence of grind and a great rhythm bring it on game Olympus. This is a major achievement in the genre at least for the last five years and one of the main contenders for GOTY 2017.

Without a doubt, Persona 5 has climbed the ranks into one of my favorite games of all-time, if not being at the very top. It’s going to be hard for ATLUS to top this one when the eventual Persona 6 releases, but you know what’s funny? I said the same thing after finishing Persona 4 Golden, and guess what? They succeeded with Persona 5. I have full confidence they’ll be able to do it again in a few years time. There is a new measuring stick by which all future JRPG’s are going to be compared to, and it has successfully changed the landscape for what it means to be a Japanese developed roleplaying game.

With the most bewitching tale the series has ever told and an incredibly likable cast that rises above their typical archetypes, Persona 5 sings a song of rebellion. In the end, in spite of its minor missteps, Persona 5 has the power to steal the hearts of longterm fans of the series and newcomers alike.

Persona 5 sets the benchmark for modern Japanese RPGs: it oozes style, charisma, and polish quite unlike anything we've played. With this fifth entry, the series' trademark formula of dungeon delving and socialising has been perfected. The beauty of a game like Persona 5 is its ability to perfectly bring together all its different elements. The game will impress you with how it can balance between all its connected systems, and how it does so flawlessly. As you're walking around Tokyo, you'll be making lists of all the things you need for your upcoming trip to the Palaces. While you're at the Palaces, you'll be making lists of items you'll potentially need the next time around to boost your team's stats. You'll be immersed in the game's sights and sounds, and laugh along as your team members banter. You don't just play the game, you experience it with all your senses. This is what Persona offers. It sucks you into its world and you'll find yourself thinking about it without realizing as if it's a second life you've always wanted to live.

Persona 5 is good. It's very, very good. It's the sort of game that only comes around once every few years. It's a game that is so unique in every aspect that it'd be impossible to mistake a single moment of it for anything else. It's also a game about real life, despite the wacky hijinks you'll often find yourself in. It's about the moments you have with your friends, laughing around a hot pot as you make jokes only those there would understand. It's within those moments that Persona 5 enters a league of its own, untouched by its contemporaries in every respect.

There isn't much more to be said. With masterful visuals, combat, and story, Persona 5 is a beautiful foray into the RPG scene. There are some gripes that I have within the game, such as being forced to go to bed after visiting the metaverse or doing anything in the evening. I understand it's to keep stats under control, but perhaps a system where you can start an extra activity each night at the cost of a penalty in XP or social stat gains the next day due to fatigue would have been nice. With that said though, I find it impossible to call Persona 5 anything but a phenomenal experience.

I will definitely keep playing it and will even play it into the New Game+. The New Game Plus allows you to keep certain items that you have gotten from the game but it resets your relationship meter with the characters among other things. If you are into old school JRPG, this is definitely the game you have been waiting for. At its price point the game is totally worth it and even more. I am even willing to spend for this game's DLC. With Persona 5, Atlus has outdone themselves, crafting a thrilling narrative while balancing the social life of the characters. The world is designed with rich, and vibrant colors, and although the dungeons are no longer procedurally generated, I've enjoyed exploring them with my ragtag group of thieves. There are an infinite amount of possibilities thanks to the open end nature of players choices different things to focus on in their character's social lives. If you ever feel overwhelmed, you can always check the Thieves Guild, letting you see what others players did at that precise moment. Persona 5 is certainly a stylish RPG, and while the opening few hours is slowly than I would like, by the time you are freely able to explore the first and second palace, you are well accustomed to the game's mechanics.

Persona 5 is proof that few titles can compare to a truly great role-playing game. Over its 60 hour playtime I got to forge meaningful friendships with an eccentric cast of characters, discover the secrets of Tokyo, and even managed to find some nice restaurants to dine at. The time investment might seem like a lot, but rarely is time wasted when spent with friends. It doesn’t reinvent the genre, as it largely builds upon Persona 4‘s stellar base, but it adds a level of polish that is simply lacking from its contemporaries.

This iteration of the franchise sets a new standard for the JRPG genre and it is, naturally, an excellent addition to the Best of 2017 games list.

Persona 5 isn’t made for anyone, but anyone can enter its lush and colorful world and experience an exceptional Japanese Role Playing game. Persona 5 is slow, doesn’t rush anything and pay an increasingly attention to details – Sometimes maybe too much. But after beating first few hours, Persona 5 becomes a combination of unique narration, involving gameplay and eye-catching artistic style.

Persona 5 surpasses its predecessors through some well-made changes and makes it way back to the top of the JRPG-Chain. Besides a small feeling of an outdated Gameplay you'll get probably one of the best JRPGs of the last years that even will surprise some of the older Persona Fans. If you haven't got into JRPGs yet: This is your best entry point.

Persona 5 is simply one of the greatest games and JRPG in recent years. Atlus excelled itself with one incredible title that not only offers an even better and perfected formula from its fantastic predecessor (Persona 4) but also shows how a series can evolve with a few additions and accurate adjustments. With its unique, dark and enjoyable story; cast of memorable characters; a fluid and addictive battle system; and a wide variety of activities to do, is just impossible to find any reason to negate yourself this great experience. Even if you are not a fan of the genre, this is a title you should play at any cost.

The last chapter of one of our favourite series improved over the previous chapters in every, possible way. The storyline is unique and much more consistent, and the production values (art direction, soundtrack, dubbing, graphics) are simply top-notch. The fact that the dungeons aren't randomly generated anymore is just the cherry on top.

Persona 5 is a masterful game, which has breathed new life into the JRPG genre; it has injected a flair of style that hasn't quite been matched before, and as such, has become a new standard for JRPGs to match. Despite this though, the game is far from perfect, but is most definitely the most powerful evolution of Persona to date. Here's hoping we don't get 20 Persona 5 spinoffs and Persona 6 will be able to finally encrust this franchise in the annals of history forever.

If you even have a slight interest in RPG’s, Persona 5 is easily a recommended must-have. At over 100 hours, you’re definitely getting a whole lot of game, but everything from the production value to the battle system and even its painfully relevant story about the devolution of the human race make Persona 5 a staple of this gaming generation and more than justifies the series as the king of JRPG’s.

It's been a long time coming, but it was absolutely worth the wait. Persona 5 is an improvement over the last two games in almost every way. There may be some arguments over which game has the best cast, but the mechanics, visuals and general style can't be denied. It fixes a lot of nagging flaws and adds a bunch of features that are so useful it's difficult to imagine ever playing without them. Some minor issues, including a sometimes-stiff translation and a low difficulty level, hurt the experience slightly but should only be considered minor flaws. If you're a fan of RPGs, you have to get Persona 5, which is easily one of the best games available on the PS4.

Persona 5 is unrepentantly stylish, and absolutely seamless in keeping its players immersed in its world. Every moment is exciting, from traversing the masterfully crafted dungeons, to living it up with Joker's friends and acquaintances. There are some moments that don't mesh perfectly with the tone of the story, but even they help to paint a portrait of a group of teenagers dissatisfied with the world at large. Persona 5 is a joy from start to finish, and it never drops its fashionable facade - not even for a second.
