Tekken 7 truly is a hallmark, a fighting game crafted with obvious affection. It strikes a fine balance between accessibility to series newcomers and retaining much of its technical traditions. The soundtrack is an electronic treat, and while the story can at times seem a bit cliche, the fact that it never takes itself too seriously lets it bring in a tremendous amount of flexible character customization. Its dedication to the details helps push it into the position of my favorite fighting game of 2017 so far.

Tekken 7 is here and I can only imagine it getting better. What's even more exciting is that it gave me and most of the other players, a new reason to memorize gamepad combinations, and to find new ways to humiliate our friends. And I know that I can't ask for anything more than that.

Tekken 7 is the best fighting game available on PC right now. Bandai Namco Studios‘ latest release is fun to play, incredibly addictive and full of engaging content.

Regarding its gameplay and multiplayer, Tekken 7 provides the best: new mechanics, balance, great variety of characters and even a never before seen online mode. However, its single-player, something the series is appraised for, is a letdown. There are few options and the lone player, instead of playing them, will take his time customizing his characters.

Tekken 7 shows why Tekken is one of the most beloved franchises around, with its fast-paced yet calculated combat, impressive visuals, strong cast of customisable characters, and zany nature coming together to offer one of this generation’s finest fighting games. It offers something a little different to the popular 2D-plane fighters that are in abundance right now, with a fun focus on utilising the space around you to unleash massive combos on your opponent. It doesn’t only look great in-game, but is a hell of a lot of fun to pull off. It isn’t quite perfect thanks to the slightly lacking story mode not really offering enough from a gameplay perspective, but it doesn’t stop Tekken 7 being a must own title for fighting fans. The King of the Iron Fist Tournament is back, and it’s better than ever…

Tekken has returned and now it is better than ever. Its gameplay is still fresh and features new elements like the Rage Arts, which increases the excitement of evey match. The customization is fun, entertaining and has thousands of possibilities. A must-buy for the genre fans.

Tekken 7 is a phenomenal fighting game experience and one I'd highly recommend. It's by no means perfect, as the game is not without a few technical issues online, some long loading times, and minor continuity errors, yet as far as most people will be concerned, it delivers a stunning, up-to-date fighting game experience from one of the masters of arcade fighting games. A solid return to form.

The new chapter of this legendary beat'em up saga is bigger, bolder and faster: with a new graphics engine, new characters, new combat tecniques and tons of new game modes, it's definitely a must-have for every virtual fighter out there. And somehow, after all these years, the combat system still manages to make the player feel truly powerful.

This is possibly the best Tekken has ever been, and a slightly slim selection of modes can't take away from that. If you want one of the best fighting games to be released this year, Tekken 7 is essential.

If you loved Tekken in the 90s, you'll love Tekken 7. It's a beautiful paint job, rather than a functional redesign, and it is glorious.

Tekken is back, and the seven installment might be the best in the series so far. The mechanics is as tight as ever, and the new Rage mechanics make it a bit deeper. As always, Tekken is fun for both the newcomers as well as long time fans of the series.

Tekken 7 remains an addicting technical fighter that constantly beckons you for just one more round. There are so many moves for each character, mastering even one complete move set will take nothing less than complete dedication. While it doesn't feel as though Namco Bandai has done much to innovate in the genre from the surface, those who prefer Tekken's brand of fighting than those of Capcom's or NetherRealm's will have be in for a treat. Fans of the series will feel right at home, while those looking to ease their way into the series will find a lot to chew on. All that being said, Tekken 7 is a formidable entry into the fighting genre, and will provide hundreds of hours of fun for fans and newcomers alike. Just be prepared to learn a lot of new stuff.

At its core, Tekken 7 manages to prove that the series still has a place after 20 years, showing no signs of slowing down. Newcomers will find their way into the game quite easily, and experienced players will be able to jump back into it and find most of their favourite characters ready to go and familiar to play with.

Fans of Tekken should love Tekken 7. There's a ton to do, the roster is better than ever, and many of the new mechanics add even further to the depth and options players have at any given moment. The Treasure Battle mode and unlockable customization items add tons of hours and silly fun to Tekken 7's shelf-life, and the unlockable gallery items show a level of care and dedication to Tekken as not only a franchise IP, but a long-lasting art with an important, meaningful history. On the other hand, I doubt the sloppy, incomprehensible story mode will do much for anyone who doesn't care about, uh, Tekken lore, and a fighting game with the amount of depth Tekken has not having similar learning tools that most of the competition has is a glaring drawback. Ultimately, the core of Tekken is unlike anything else in the genre, and getting people together to figure it out and get your hands dirty is always a blast. Tekken 7 continues with the care and polish a series of its caliber deserves.

Bandai Namco isn't reinventing the wheel with Tekken 7, but it's been long enough that a solid entry in the franchise feels fresh. The new additions are small in scope but deliver in a big way, making this easily one of the best entries in the series.

It might not be drastically different, but this entry is still a smooth and deep fighting game, not to mention exciting, with a large roster of characters, and a decent amount of content, while still being more suited for versus play.
