Batman: The Enemy Within - Episode 2 Reviews
I still love Telltale's take on the Bat-verse, but the remaining episodes of The Enemy Within have an uphill climb to get this season back on track.
The Pact weaves a convoluted story that's an improvement over the first episode and ultimately entertaining if you're willing to suspend your disbelief.

The Pact is a fair episode, with some familiar faces and a couple of great scenes. But due to its odd plotting, overbooked roster, and distracting technical flaws, it didn't suck me in like the previous chapter did. Still, outside of the horrible lock-up issues, it was an acceptable way to while away two hours. I'm intrigued to see where the story goes next.
I'm really enjoying The Enemy Within so far, after a strong opener and now a second episode that drags Bruce further than ever before, and strips him of any real sense of control over the situation.
The great Harley Quinn design is not enough for this episode that remind us the mediocre first season.

Batman: The Enemy Within - Episode 2 'The Pact' is yet another fantastic episode in this series. It was going to be hard to top the greatness of season one, but if these first two episodes are any indication, we might be in for one of Telltale's best yet. The action, drama, characters, and story are all firing on all cylinders and fans of Batman owe it to themselves to check this series out.
It's difficult to get excited about Telltale Games at the moment, but this has me hooked and I can't wait for the next episode.
With each episode, John Doe edges ever closer to irredeemable insanity, and the question of whether or not you can save him remains an engaging one.
It seems that Batman: The Enemy Within was done by completely different people who returned to poorly written instructions for creating a blockbuster at home.

We'll know if The Enemy Within is a truly memorable Telltale product if they can avoid their middle episode valley, but for now, it remains worth getting into costume.

Batman: The Enemy Within – Episode Two: The Pact is one of the best Telltale episodes in a long time. Going behind enemy lines with some of Gotham's greatest gangsters makes for a brilliantly tense dynamic, as you wrestle with socially awkward situations in order to keep everyone on-side. With so many different plot threads dangling, it was only a matter of time before a certain kitten came out to play – and the return of Catwoman sets up a third episode that we can't wait to experience.
The Pact moves the series' story forward nicely, confronting players with interesting, serious moral dilemmas.
Telltale's minimalist gameplay is exaggerated further in Batman: The Enemy Within - Episode 2: The Pact, to its benefit, but the plot seems to have been fumbled in the process.
The Pact is filled with uncomfortable moments that force the player to choose between the right thing and their cover. It also makes important moves to flesh out the season's story arc, and ends with an awesome teaser for episode three. Telltale Games is on a roll this season, and The Enemy Within continues to be some of the developer's best work.
It's those very hard choices which form the true spine of Enemy Within's storyline.
"The Pact" is an interesting follow-up to "The Enigma." Even though this second episode doesn't change the game's formula, it showcases a side of Bruce Wayne Batman fans haven't seen before in video games. The new Harley Quinn-Joker dynamic is also pretty interesting.

Batman's second episode in season two — known as The Pact — takes The Dark Knight and continues to refine him in a very unique way. If the whole series can pay off this story, it'll be very good indeed.
