A racing game that loses its strengths and motivations in the transition from mobile to Switch.

A racing game with a lot of potencial that conforms with being just a port of a mobile game, instead of a complete experience that takes advantage of Nintendo Switch's potential.

The Unlimited May mean that Gear.Club isn't shackled by monetisation, but the only real thing that will not be unlimited here is your patience.

Gear.Club Unlimited could have been yet another gem on the Switch, but ultimately feels like exactly what it is. The price tag is shocking and the changes from the mobile game don't fit the pace of the core experience. While there are moments of fun to be had, this racing game rarely ends up feeling worth the investment.

As long as you don't take the “Serious racing on Switch!” pitch too seriously, you'll have a lot of fun with Gear.Club Unlimited. This is an engaging, retro arcade racer with a rewarding structure that puts bigger-name games to shame. I've reviewed most of this season's major racers, including Gran Turismo Sport and Need for Speed Payback, and I can honestly say Gear.Club Unlimited was the most entertaining of the bunch. Gear up for a good time, Switch owners.

Gear.Club Unlimited won't pry people away from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and it certainly can't compete with the Forza and Gran Turismo's out there but there still is some fun to be had. I came away disappointed but I can acknowledge that Eden Games has done a decent job in bringing a realistic racing experience to the Switch.
