Just Cause 4 Reviews Summary

Sandbox Mayhem
Lack of Innovation
Bugs and Performance

Summary: While Just Cause 4 delivers the chaotic combat and murderous mayhem the series is known for, it fails to meaningfully advance the series. As a result, many of the systems feel old and dated. Performance also seems to be an issue on PC.

Still delivers the series' sandbox mayhem, but is underserved by some pretty dated systems.

Just Cause 4 is a slightly better version of Just Cause 3's destruction-fueled action, but lacks a big new idea to give it an identity of its own.

Weather effects and party balloons see a knockabout charmer return in decent form.

It's an improvement on the last game but as a franchise Just Cause is still squandering the majority of its potential with its banal mission design and dull storytelling.
