Critic Reviews for Path to Mnemosyne

The playable proposal and the striking artistic design are appreciated. It is true that it can be useful for the future, but it is not only to thank the Devilish Games, after 20 years in the industry it still wants to create and bring us new proposals.

Path to Mnemosyne will transport you to an atypical (too short) journey in the unconscious of a young girl. Transcend by its artistic direction and its music the game of DevilishGames deserves your attention, in spite of some puzzles badly dosed and an abrupt end. If you want to discover an unhealthy and oppressive adventure psychologically, and challenge your brain, Path to Mnemosyne is for you.

Path to Mnemosyne's art style will attract you at the first sight, but that's not its only strength; challenging and creative puzzles, mixed with weird visuals and soundtrack, can make a great experience for you. Although there are some technical issues and unoriginal ideas here and there, but the overall result is something worth trying.

The positives outway the cons in this indie title. A short and flawed yet satisfactory game, Path To Mnemosyne is recommended for anyone who is looking for a good brain teaser.

There’s not much to say about Path to Mnemosyne as it is a very simple and short game. I know I have detailed how there are multiple aspects that I was not a fan of, but at the end of the day, it is excusable. Path to Mnemosyne really is special in other ways. The artwork is fantastic and it’s also nice to play a game that gets you to think about things, rather than just mindlessly shooting zombies.

Path to Mnemosyne shines with its own light in its visual and sound section, showing us an original gameplay and incredible artistic style. Its high difficulty is not for everyone and the questions of the plot remain unanswered or are too symbolic. For the rest, it is a game that deserves to be played.
