Metro Exodus Reviews
Despite the AI issues that we hope are fixed by launch, it's a game that we've found ourselves yearning for since going hands-on. We can't wait to play the full game in a few weeks time and deliver our final verdict and rating.
4A has taken so much of what worked well from the previous games and improved upon them. Where possible it also switches up so many established concepts on their head, meaning you're never completely safe. This leads to some memorable, intense experiences with plenty of leeway to play the game your way.
Metro Exodus is quite simply astounding and it's good to see it escaping the underground and, hopefully, it'll get the recognition it deserves now that it's out in the open for all to see.
Metro Exodus builds on the gameplay of the previous titles and expands it into a much broader world, adding new mechanics and expanding the narrative without padding things too much.
That said, for the quick and obligatory surface level comparison: it's a dash of Fallout, a sprinkle of BioShock, some Dishonored for flavour and Thief to darken the edges. Yet still, all Metro Exodus.
Metro Exodus is an unforgettable adventure. It works perfectly both as a semi-open world shooter and as an emotional story.

Metro Exodus is one of the best survival games I've played in a long time.
Metro Exodus is a masterful execution of a dying breed of video game: the measured, finely tuned, linear single player action game. From start to finish it's an amazing thrill ride that rarely takes a moment to catch its breath and it lacks the bloated filler that plague so many other
In sum, Metro Exodus takes the best elements of 2033 and Last Light and adds a major evolutionary component with open world exploration and crafting.
Metro Exodus should be preservedas a species near to extinction: it is not always perfect, but overall we are facing the best story driven FPS in recent years, crafted with love, much more freedom but still impressive in its narrative, graphical and playable level of details.

Saying that Metro Exodus is the best game in the Metro series is no exaggeration. The vast improvements are remarkable and deliver a fantastic game, even now when shooting games are only recognized by the online factor. Exodus brings a pleasant nostalgia and is mandatory for fans of the franchise as well as worshippers of the genre.

Metro Exodus drops you into an unforgiving, post-apocalyptic playground and gives you just enough tools to, maybe, make it out alive.
It is a demanding game, a game in which you will die and you will have to work on each advance, but all this is extremely satisfying and make this third installment a totally unique game.

The best post-apocalyptic survival game of the generation, that innovates in terms of both its varied gameplay mechanics and its incisive storytelling.
A first-person survival shooter that's as engrossing as it is unnerving, Metro Exodus tells a powerfully human story in a world that's equal parts style and substance.
Metro Exodus is an excellent story based shooter, which combines survival skills, exploration, stealth and combat. We love the post apocalyptic setting, based on the Metro novels by Dmitry Glukhovsky, and some open worlds elements.

Metro Exodus provides an immersive FPS experience that marks a new milestone for the franchise. Its survival-horror, sandbox and shooter elements are remarkably well balanced, constituting an engaging and thrilling game that’ll leave you no stranger to a good jump scare
Metro Exodus is a masterpiece in survival horror, and a game that evolves beyond its roots to transform into something truly special.
Exodus's combat has room for improvement, particularly when it comes to enemy A.I. behavior. The gunplay is tight and well-built, with an emphasis on customization, allowing you to play how you want to play.
Exodus is a proper entry in the series and should be experienced by everyone who enjoys it. I wish they had touched more on some of the earlier threads of the series, but this is still one of the most engrossing games I have ever played.
