Atari Flashback Collection is a wonderful way to experience gaming history for the first time, or reminisce over your favourites one more time.
Quantity over quality has never been exhibited so perfectly as it is here. Having 150 games is undoubtedly impressive, but when the vast majority of them are barely decipherable, let alone playable, you're probably only really left with around 15 titles that will hold your attention for more than a minute.
If you're the type of gamer who appreciates a mix of little-known games and classics that paved the way for better versions, Atari Flashback Classics might be up your alley. Even if you've played a good number of these games so many times already, having them in handheld form is something. With a small selection of achievements and leaderboards, this collection has replayability too.
Atari Flashback Classics offers a vast look back into the history of an important time in games, but may offer little of interest to those without nostalgic feelings for it.
It is going to be hard for anyone without a strong affinity for Atari games to enjoy the gameplay that these titles offer.
Atari Flashback Collection is an excellent must-have pack with 150 classic Atari arcade and home console releases.
If at some point during your youth you owned an Atari 2600, you’re probably going to love Atari Flashback Classics for the Nintendo Switch.
I enjoyed diving into Pong, Asteroids, and others but someone else who grew up playing these games will get far more enjoyment out of it
