Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon Every Buddy!, with its thoughtful additions, is simply a better version of it. Hardcore roguelike fans may find it too forgiving, but for anyone unfamiliar with the genre, you won't find a better jumping off point than this.

Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon EVERY BUDDY! is an excellent proposal for the fans of the Final Fantasy saga that, although it does not revolutionize at all, fulfills sufficiency in the purpose of entertaining.

A good taste of nostalgia that still smells a bit old, despite its improvements over the original game.

It's cute, it's colorful, it's Chocobo and you've probably already played Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon if you've owned a Wii in the past decade.

Don't be fooled by the cute and childish look of Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon Every Buddy, because the game actually has some formidable aspects, like a wealthy content, huge dungeons and a tough challenge. Despite a technology which is almost the same than the original game and persistant flaws, the game is very catchy. If you missed the original title, or if you are a chcocobo, Final Fantasy or a Mystery Dungeon fan, it's a decent proposition. However, it's too bad that the game can be so punitive, and the technical side as well its usability hasn't been reworked.

Despite its heavy use of aleatory mechanics, Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy offers a strategic and challenging adventure that's paired with a delightful dose of Final Fantasy nostalgia.

While the reinforcement of (Every) Buddy might appear too light to have legitimately retitled this remastered port, such evolution not only strengthtens the combat system, but also softens the whole experience, which remains harsher than the smooth feathers of Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon suggest though.

It's great that a game that many may have overlooked on the Wii is being given a new lease on life on the latest generation of consoles. A new coat of paint and some fun new gameplay features makes Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy! a very easy game to recommend to those seeking a challenging but super adorable adventure.

Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy! easily proves to be the best version of Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon, and we would even go so far as to say it’s in the running of being the best Mystery Dungeon game in general.

With simple gameplay, charming story, chibi design and a flashy companion system, Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy! is a title that can become an excellent entry for all those who have not played a roguelike game. It's a shame that, in the end, it ends up becoming a fairly repetitive project that denotes the same mistakes of the original Wii game.

Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon EVERY BUDDY! is cute, colorful and lets you have a tonberry as your bestest bud, it just a little rough around the edges. Story might not be the best or terribly important, but it is important to know where to go or what you're supposed to be doing. When you consider there are a lot of poor design choices, such as multiple menus or not thinking of the most common player choices first, it makes it a little harder to recommend. That being said, it gets enough wood on the ball to, if nothing else, make it a fun game to play on trips or the go.

A solid but basic Mystery Dungeon spinoff of the Final Fantasy series.

In spite of liberal use of random generation, there's something confoundingly enjoyable about Chocobo's Myster Dungeon Every Buddy. It's not a port I expected to come out in this lifetime, but I'm glad it did, wrinkles and all.

Although the premise of Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon: EVERY BUDDY! is bland, the game's charm and personality shine through in its writing and music. Meanwhile, the dungeon-crawling gameplay can be excessively punishing and tediously grindy, but the experience is ultimately satisfying and rewarding.

It’s the small moments where you get to simple appreciate Chocobo for the adorable character that he is that it’s at its best, and accompanied by the comfortably familiar and accessible dungeon crawling that it has, this is a relaxing, pleasant, joyful game, and I hope it sells brilliantly, so Square Enix can realise that this is one mascot that shouldn’t be put on ice.
