Iceborne is an essential expansion for a game that is paradoxically both enormous and niche. I’d recommend it to everyone – even if only because it’s likely to convert a few of you to veganism.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne adds just what Monster Hunter World needed and even more quality of life changes to the greatest Monster Hunter game of all time. The new monsters and quests pack a punch, and there's enough content to justify the price. If you're going to take on this cool expansion, make sure you bring along some friends and a few hot drinks.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne's PC launch is mostly good, though some curious issues hold it back from true excellence.

Iceborne already proved itself to be a spectacular expansion, but the PC release is even better with improved keyboard/mouse controls, up to 4K 60fps, and much more.

Iceborne is a massive addition to an already giant, vibrant Monster Hunter world. Anyone who played through and appreciated Monster Hunter World simply has zero reason not to invest in Iceborne.

If you are remotely a Monster Hunter fan, this is a must have. If you have been interested in Monster Hunter but have yet to try it, do yourself a favor and pick up Monster Hunter World and this expansion. It’s the most accessible Monster Hunter to date and a fantastic entry into the series.

Monster Hunter: World's first major DLC makes its way to PC, bringing with it a whole host of new monsters and mechanics. I'll repeat what I said before: Iceborne is great.

Iceborne adds a lot to the game and should keep players busy for a long time. The performance will hopefully improve and the price tag is high, but there's a lot more Monster Hunter to see with this expansion. Plus, you basically have no choice but to buy this if you're already deeply invested.

Iceborne is an amazing DLC that is well worth the hefty price tag. It continues with amazing graphics and fun, challenging gameplay, while bringing a whole new level of grind to an extreme grind game by adding many more hours of content and many more items to collect for those who are looking to scratch that collector’s itch.

As the follow up to the best selling game that Capcom has ever made and my personal pick for game of the year, it’s an understatement to say that there was a lot to live up to. Luckily, the masters at Capcom were more than up for the challenge and delivered on an expansion that highlights the unforgettable moments of triumph the series is synonymous for while moving forward with clever new mechanics that enhance the Monster Hunter experience to its finest iteration.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is a great addition to one of the best games of this generation. Hundreds of hours of content, iconic monsters, beautiful graphics, high complexity, rethinking of the old mechanics, which will help even veterans to get new impressions in gameplay, as well as attention to detail again puts the role-playing action from Capcom in the list of the most exciting releases of the year.

With everything that it brings to the table, Iceborne is a truly monstrous expansion. Capcom has gone above and beyond in crafting an additional adventure that breathes a shocking amount of new life into Monster Hunter World, setting a new benchmark for the series in terms of pure quality. Although many of the base game's gripes remain, it's ultimately very difficult to pick holes in such a supremely satisfying experience. Iceborne is Monster Hunter at its absolute best.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne comes close to matching the perfection of the first adventures with the Fifth Fleet but this new expansion is all but guaranteed to lead to more times being carted back to camp. The links above are affiliate links. Iceborne takes what's already fantastic and nearly doubles the original game in size. If you haven't played Monster Hunter yet, now is the time to start!
