Faith is Life Is Strange 2’s most engrossing, heart-wrenching episode and may likely stand as one of the best across of the entire franchise. What it lacks in gameplay, its excellent writing, wonderful performances by the cast, dramatic camera work and cinematic nature more than makes up for the deficit.

Life Is Strange 2 Episode 4: Faith brings back all the feels of the first episode in this compelling instalment that introduces you to the boys' mother and an evil cult that wants to exploit Daniel's powers. Despite its short length, Faith does an excellent job in preparing for a phenomenal conclusion of the series.

Life Is Strange 2 took full advantage of the conclusion for Episode 3: Wastelands with a story that fully fleshes out Sean's character and his relationship with Daniel. Just as the first three episodes showed the sacrifices that Sean made to protect his younger brother, Dontnod pulled no punches in Episode 4: Faith by pushing him to the limits both mentally and physically.

Episode 4 sparks newfound hope for the Life is Strange series and sets the next episode up nicely for a touchdown that Dontnod can hopefully score and bring the season home.

Life is Strange 2 started at breakneck speed and hasn't let up since then. With Sean and Daniel constantly being tested in both their physical fortitudes and emotional stability. Episode 4 Faith has Sean attempting to locate Daniel while both his physical and mental health are constantly under pressure. Eventually leading up to a profound conclusion that has Sean knocking on Death's door and attempting to save what's most important to him.

The wolf brothers have faced a lot since they left Seattle, but "Faith" ups the ante in one of the best episodes so far, even if it could do with just a bit more gameplay.

Sean and Daniel have encountered a lot on their journey, and it's nearing its end. If the final episode can deliver as well as Faith has, then Life is Strange 2 will be an excellent story as a whole.

Episode 4 has some of the most exciting, challenging and emotional moments seen in Life is Strange so far. It connects with the player in a way that other episodes haven't without losing the signature style and pace of the stellar series.

Faith serves a few important purposes within the Life is Strange 2 story. It shores up some loose ends from the brothers' past, it proves the lengths Sean is willing to go to in order to protect Daniel, and it gives Daniel further autonomy by letting him make his own decisions. It's an exciting chapter that leaves everyone worse for the wear. That's the cadence we've come to expect from Life is Strange, though.

Life Is Strange 2: Faith is a well made chapter with strong dialogues, beautiful scenes and intense social conflict. It is a pity that the authors turned the story of two teenagers into a mouthpiece of leftist propaganda. Without these elements, the plot could be significantly better.

This fourth episode of Life is Strange 2 throws a lot of punches. And, again, as it is perfectly written and performed, it's a successful way to continue the story of Sean and Daniel, and wait for the end, coming in December.

Faith is a fine return to form for a season which had felt progressively aimless, and an episode which sets up an unpredictable and potentially explosive finale.

Life Is Strange 2: Episode 4 suffers from a cliched story and two-dimensional villains, but the strength of its central characters and their nuanced relationships continues to soar and intrigue.

The story is splendid and so are the music, photography is always on point... but on the technical side we're far from the sufficience. Despite all the flaws, I have become attached to Sean and Daniel and I want to "help" them reach the Mexican border.

Faith is a tough, methodically paced episode of Life is Strange 2. While the chapter could have used a little more direction, excellent character development sets the sequel on track for a strong finish.

We're going to the final episode. In this fourth one there are no surprises, but a lot of attention on dialogues and characters.

A disappointing third act and weak moral choices aside, Faith is the best episode since Life Is Strange 2's debut. It unravels Sean's character in interesting ways, has some expansive areas to visit and delves into the more mature aspects of the sequel's world to create some deeply poignant moments. With the finale right around the corner, the Diaz brothers' last chapter has all the ingredients to be a doozy.
