It seems that Netflix's The Witcher has become a huge hit, outperforming every other TV show last week. It even outperformed Disney+'s The Mandalorian, a show based off of the Star Wars franchise, and a hit in its own right.

According to Parrot Analytics (via PlayStation LifeStyle), The Witcher stacked up nearly 127 million "demand expressions" during the week of December 22nd to December 28th. The Mandalorian received 115 million demand expressions. Demand expressions is how Parrot Analytics measures the "desire, engagement, and viewership of a series." Metrics include social media comments, streams of the show, and other online engagement. Different expressions are weighted based upon their importance, as streams and downloads of a title are weighted heavier than social media engagement. Based upon these numbers, The Witcher outperformed every other TV show that aired last week, including The Mandalorian, Saturday Night Live, and Steven Universe. One should keep in mind that these numbers only apply to the US.

The Witcher has made its way into another title, the VR rhythm game Beat Saber. A fan added a custom beatmap for Beat Saber based off of the song "Toss A Coin To Your Witcher." You can grab the map of "Toss A Coin To Your Witcher" on BeatSaver. Unfortunately for PSVR players, the custom map is only available on PC. The song is not available to stream on major services, though you can hear the song on Sonya Belousova and Giona Ostinelli's soundcloud.

The Witcher 3 recently saw a major resurgence in player count recently, likely due to the release of Netflix's series. When the game released back in 2015, it saw over 92,000 concurrent players. It has now surpassed 94,000 players. The game also saw its highest number of viewers on Twitch, with over 31,000 tuning in to the streaming service this week.
