A new Mythical Pokemon will be revealed at the end of February.

According to Serebii, a new Mythical Pokemon will be revealed on February 27th. This would make the Pokemon the fourth Mythical Pokemon in Sword and Shield, following Zacian, Zamazenta, and Eternatus. This Pokemon will be separate from from Urshifu and Calyrex, two Legendary Pokemon that will be featured in Sword and Shield's upcoming Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra expansions. Serebii also stated that the new Mythical Pokemon will be featured in the upcoming animated film, Pokemon the Movie: Coco.

February 27th is Pokemon Day. Sword and Shield were announced on Pokemon Day last year, so it makes sense that there would be another big announcement on the day this year. February 27th marks the anniversary of Pokemon Red and Green in Japan. Pokemon Day is recognized by the Japanese Anniversary Associations, a company that tracks commemorative holidays in the country.

Two expansions are coming to Sword and Shield later this year. The first expansion, Isle of Armor, will release in June, while the second, The Crown Tundra, will come out in fall. The expansions will bring over 200 Pokemon into Sword and Shield, including Legendaries, new Gigantimax forms, and Galarian new forms. The add-ons will continue the game's storyline. In Isle of Armor, players will travel to an island region where they will train with Mustard, Leon's mentor, who had won the Pokemon tournament in the past. The Crown Tundra will send trainer to a winter region. The Expansion Pass will cost gamers $29.99. Along with the Pokemon being brought to the games through Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra, it was revealed that some Pocket Monsters will be added to the games through free updates.

Pokemon Sword and Shield is available now on the Nintendo Switch. It is unknown if the soon to be announced Mythical Pokemon will be a part of the upcoming expansions, or if it will be released in the games separately.
