Players are going to have to wait for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's latest update.

On Twitter, Infinity Ward announced that Modern Warfare's latest patch will be a little late. The developer did not state why the update was delayed, or when we can expect it to roll out. They just stated that it will be released soon.

"Tonight's scheduled title update is being delayed and is set to release in the coming days," Infinity Ward stated. "This update includes our new Operator, Talon, new free modes, and our next free multiplayer map, Khandor Hideout. Please stay tuned for more details and updates on release timing!"

The latest Modern Warfare update includes a new Operator named Talon, who will be playable in both the game's standard multiplayer modes and the Warzone mode. Talon features a dog companion named Indiana. The map, Khandor hideout, features long sight lines and compact interior spaces that are great for snipers and shotguns.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare recently saw the release of its battle royale mode, Warzone, which is free-to-play for everyone, even those who do not own Modern Warfare. The mode had been downloaded six million times in its first 24 hours, and recently celebrated 30 million players. The news that Warzone had reached 30 million players soon after the mode released a solos mode for those who want to be a part of a 150 player free-for-all.

Recently, a rumor emerged that this year's Call of Duty title will be a reboot of the Black Ops games. According to the rumor, the game's story will take place during the Cold War. The game will be able to support 64 player multiplayer matches, and will see the return of Killstreaks and Operators.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
