The Resident Evil Resistance beta is now available on PC and PlayStation 4.
PC and PlayStation 4 gamers can now get their hands on the Resident Evil Resistance open beta before the game releases on Friday. The announcement was made by Al Yang, the game's director, on Twitter.
"The Resident Evil Resistance Open Beta is now live again on PS4 and Steam!" Yang stated. "Please make sure you grab the latest update if you still have problems connecting to a match! Sorry again for the delay and huge thanks to the community for helping us test out our open beta build!"
The Resident Evil Resistance beta dropped for the Xbox One last week. It was meant to release for PC and PlayStation 4 at the time as well, but was delayed due to "some technical issues." Capcom never gave more details on the delay. The beta will run until 3 a.m. EST this Friday, April 3rd, when the game releases. A demo for Resident Evil 3 is also available at the moment, and will allow players to try the game as much as they want, unlike the Resident Evil 2 demo.
Resident Evil Resistance is an asymmetrical multiplayer mode that has four players take the role of survivors that must escape from a Mastermind, who is also controlled by a player. Survivors must use their unique skills in order to escape, while the Mastermind utilizes traps and monsters to take down the survivors. Resistance will feature four Masterminds at launch, as well as six survivors, all of whom have their own skills and abilities. Jill Valentine will be added as a survivor at a later date. The mode will feature two maps at release: a casino and an abandoned park.
Resident Evil 3 will release on April 3rd. The game comes packaged with Resident Evil Resistance. The game currently holds a 81 Top Critic Average, and has been given a Strong rating by OpenCritic.
