After last week's teaser, the Mafia: Trilogy has been revealed, featuring a complete remake of the first game and a remastered Mafia 2. Mafia 2: Definitive Edition and Mafia 3: Definitive Edition both launch today, while the remake of Mafia arrives on August 28.

Mafia: Definitive Edition is a "complete overhaul" of the original game from 2002, handled by the team behind Mafia 3 at Hangar 13. 2K calls it a faithful but expanded remake, featuring 4K and HDR features in addition to new story and gameplay elements like motorcycles and collectibles. Sold separately, Mafia: Definitive Edition will sell for $39.99.

Mafia 2: Definitive Edition is also getting a makeover in the form of a 4K remaster. The 2010 crime drama is a loose continuation of the first game, but they need not be played in order. They occupy the same story universe, along with Mafia 3, but each game stands on its own too. Players who own Mafia 2 on Steam will receive the update at no additional cost, while on consoles it debuts at $29.99. It will include all seven DLC packs, including three story chapters which introduce new mechanics and playable characters.

Like Mafia 2, Mafia 3: Definitive Edition is available today and sells for $29.99. Players on Xbox One, PS4, or PC will immediately gain access to the game's updated version at no cost. It too will include all of its DLC, like three story chapters and two weapon and clothing packs.

Players who pre-order the remake will unlock new cosmetics and weapons when the game releases in August. This includes the Chicago Outfit bonus pack, the Smith V12 limousine, Gold Semi-Automatic Pistol weapon skin, and The Don outfit. Players who buy the complete trilogy will unlock not just extra cosmetics spread across the three games, but a deep discount. The three-pack is sold starting today for $59.99. Players who own some of the games already will be able to complete the collection at a discount.

Mafia: Definitive Edition is launching for Xbox One, PS4, and Steam on August 28, with an Epic Games Store launch coming later. Meanwhile, Mafia 2: Definitive Edition and Mafia 3: Definitive Edition are both available now for Xbox One, PS4, and Steam, with planned releases on Epic Games Store and Stadia coming later.
