Project xCloud Gains Five More Games Including Ori and Batman

Project xCloud's library has nearly surpassed 100 titles total, with a new batch of five games bringing the total to 99. Here's what's new to Project xCloud, as well as how each was received on OpenCritic.

Collectively, this marks one of the highest-rated bundles of games yet added to xCloud, with all but one game earning "Mighty" scores from critics. Arkham Knight is the most recent Rocksteady game and the studio's apparent swansong for the Dark Knight, though rumors constantly swirl about what they're doing next, not to mention WB Montreal is clearly teasing its own Batman game. For a different take on the hero, Lego Batman 3 takes places to different worlds in the DC Universe and stars characters from the entire, not just Batman's rogues and allies.

Pillars of Eternity is one of the best-rated CRPGs of the generation and has since spawned a sequel. Its studio, inXile Entertainment, is now a first-party Xbox brand too. Mortal Kombat X is the middle game of the series' recent stellar resurgence. Lastly, Ori 2 is the best-rated Xbox Game Studios project of the year and one of the best-reviewed games of the year generally.

Project xCloud remains in a free public test phase as Microsoft plans to reveal more about the service later this summer. It will be integrated directly into Game Pass in some way, perhaps coming at no additional charge for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.

Project xCloud is Xbox's alternative to Google Stadia, giving players a library of games playable entirely via stream. Provided you meet the requirements, you are welcome to sign up to be a part of the Android beta - iOS test flight was capped at 10,000 users and filled up almost instantly earlier this year.

To sign up for the Android preview of Project xCloud, visit the official website and make sure you meet the requirements. Then, sign up and wait for the invite.
