A new killer (or killers) is on the way for Dead by Daylight.

On YouTube, developer Behaviour Interactive released a teaser trailer for upcoming Dead by Daylight content. The trailer shows off a new killer: the Twins. The killers consist of a small gremlin-like creature who rides in a bigger character that wields a gnarly looking hook. There was no mention of the abilities that the Twins will have, and no date was given on when we can expect the killers to be released. The trailer also gave the name of the new survivor coming to this new chapter of Dead by Daylight: Elodie Rakoto. There will also be a new map released when the next chapter, entitled A Binding of Kin, releases.

Back in September, Behaviour began The Realm Beyond project. Through this project, Dead by Daylight will be receiving a graphical overhaul. The Realm Beyond will last until Fall 2021. Throughout this time, players will receive free updates for the game's visuals, graphics, lighting, animations, and more. With each upcoming update, Behaviour will slowly but significantly update the visual fidelity of the game's maps and characters.

It has been announced that Dead by Daylight will make its way to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S during the 2020 holiday season. Dead by Daylight will run at 4K and 60 fps on the new consoles, and will benefit from the upcoming graphical updates that the game will be receiving. It was also revealed that those who own the game on the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will be able to upgrade to their respective next-gen system, and will keep the progress that they made on current-gen consoles.

Dead by Daylight is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia. The title will make its way over to next-gen consoles. The game does now support cross-play, which will allow those who purchase the game on the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S to play with their friends who are still gaming on older systems.
