Shadow of War's big loot-box removing update is out TODAY

If, like many, the loot boxes and RNG of Shadow of War soured you on an otherwise awesome open world Action RPG, you may be happy to know that as of today - all the loot boxes are gone, as is the "market" encouraging people to spend money to get ahead. It's a bold, if somewhat delayed move by Warner Bros. and Monolith. They're basically admitting that the whole microtransaction-based nature of the game was a big mistake, but not after first reaping in cash for a year.

Still, it's a welcome move for me, as now I won't feel so dirty when I go back and play through the DLC. Plus, the endgame, the Shadow Wars, got a huge overhaul too, now taking far fewer stages to get completion.
