It's hard to miss all the Halloween events going on in live-service games these days, and the latest to join the fray is Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. The event is titled Doktor's Curse and begins today, running through November 6. In Doktor's Curse, the Theme Park map has been remade in a spookier setting and now plays host to Doktor's "disturbing, evil experiments."

Players will jump into a 5-v-5 Monster Hunt mode where one team plays as the Exterminators, each of them playing as Sledge and equipped with only hammers and select gadgets. The opposing team will take on the roles of Monsters wherein Operators are clad in Halloween costumes fit for the macabre monster mash. Though the monsters have no weapons, they are able to use traps and a new and unique ability to momentarily go invisible and move faster. There are no objectives to attack or defend. The goal for Exterminators is to defeat all Monsters, while the ghoulish group must survive the timed round to win.

Lesion, Frost, Kapkan, Smoke, and Ela will be the playable characters for the Monster team and each of them will offer four unlockable items. Along with Doktor and Bandit's event-exclusive items, there will be a total of 28 new items on offer for players during the event as part of the Doktor's Curse Collection.

Alongside those in-game rewards, you can unlock even more through a new Ubisoft Club challenge ongoing throughout the event. Netting 20 kills on the Doktor's Curse map during the event will reward players will one of the 28 unlocks automatically, while simply logging in during the event will net you another. Winning 13 rounds in total between now and when the event concludes on November 6 will also reward players with another pack. The 2018 Halloween collection will also be returning for the duration of this event. If all of that still isn't enough, players can, as always, purchase the items directly for 300 R6 Credits or 12,500 Renown. Year 4 Pass owners still get a 10% discount as well.
