The re-release/remaster of Nintendo's Wii U title is sitting MIGHTY with its rating right now. Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is a re-release of the Wii U platformer that goes by the same name. The original release was widely praised as one of the best games on Nintendo's ill-fated system, but now sees new life on the sales-dominating Nintendo Switch. Here are a few thoughts from the reviews coming out today:

Gamesradar+ | If you crave a challenge, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze will bring out the best of your platforming abilities. Those expecting a cakewalk will feel like they slammed headfirst into a brick wall of difficulty.

GameSpot | Tropical Freeze is another wonderful Donkey Kong Country game, and it's better than ever on Switch.

COGConnected | If this will be your first time playing Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, you can scarcely afford to pass this up. With a fresh set of eyes, this is an absolute home run from Nintendo.

NintendoWorldReport | The levels inspire me to push harder to master them. Now combine that with a fun cast of characters and a terrific presentation, and you have the funkiest of the bunch.
