Nomada Studio has announced that their ambitious title Gris will be releasing on the PlayStation 4 next week.

On the PlayStation Blog, Roger Mendoza of Nomada Studio announced that Gris will release for Sony's console on November 26th. The game will be available on the PlayStation Store, while a physical edition will be available through Limited Run Games. The physical version of Gris will set gamers back $29.99, and will come with three reversible art cards.

According to Mendoza, Gris' artists went over the game in "meticulous detail" updating the title's beautiful scenarios. The art team has revamped over five thousand unique assets to 2x - 4x higher resolution in order to take advantage of the PS4 Pro and 4K displays. The game's score was integrated into the game with less compression so that the music and audio design sound brighter and cleaner. The team also made some quality of life improvements, and added a special PlayStation-exclusive homage to one of their favorite games and an inspiration for Gris. You can see the game in action in the PS4 launch trailer below.

"On a more personal note, we would like to take a moment to express what an honor it is to even share a platform with thatgamecompany's Journey, a game than not only did we love when we played it on PlayStation 3 but that has also become a great inspiration during these last few years," Mendoza stated. "We hope that players find a similar level of emotional engagement with Gris and see how the iconic journey influenced the design and feeling of Gris."

Gris first released on the Nintendo Switch and PC in December 2018. It was then released on iOS this past August. The game was noted for its beautiful hand-drawn art style and elegant score, and was awarded honors for its style. In March of this year, it was revealed that Gris had surpassed 300,000 sales.
