A new connection between the upcoming Resident Evil 3 Remake and Resident Evil 2 has been found.

The demo for Resident Evil 2 has been re-uploaded on Steam. The demo is no longer a one-shot, and has gotten rid of the 30 minute time limit. There was also a creepy teaser for Resident Evil 3 added to the demo. There is a point in the demo when you can hear Resident Evil 3 baddie Nemesis growl "STAAARS." You can hear the growl below.

For those who do not know, Nemesis is the villain in Resident Evil 3. Throughout the game, he hunts down the game's protagonist, Jill Valentine. Much like Mr. X in Resident Evil 2, Nemesis cannot be killed, and will torment you the entire game.

The Nemesis growl in the Resident Evil 2 demo is not the only Resident Evil 3 Easter Egg that can be found in the game. It was recently revealed that a special trophy is coming to Resident Evil 2, entitled "Chasing Jill." in order to receive the trophy, players have to find a letter left behind by Jill Valentine. The achievement was found in the game a week ago, and was officially announced earlier this week.

Resident Evil 2 released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One this past January. The game was met with critical praise, and even earned a Mighty rating from OpenCritic. The game was a huge presence at this year's Game Awards. The title was nominated for Best Action / Adventure, Audio Design, Game Direction, and Game of the Year. The games sequel will be receiving a remake similar to what Resident Evil 2 received earlier this year. The Resident Evil 3 remake will release on April 3rd, 2020. The game will also come with a new asymmetrical multiplayer mode entitled Resident Evil Resistance, which tasks four survivors to escape from a mastermind.
