Thanks to GreedFall's impressively diverse roleplaying and combat systems, it's the sort of game that any sort of RPG fan would enjoy, whether they prefer playing as the tough warrior, the cunning rogue, the wise spellcaster, or any combination of those archetypes they can think of. It may hew closely to the template that BioWare created many years ago, but GreedFall also proves there's still a lot of potential for expansive single-player RPGs that put player choice first.
This is one of the best indie games to come out this year. Lab Zero has already shown that they know how to make an amazing fighting game and now they have shown they know how to make an amazing platformer and RPG as well.

There are some old bugs in the game that have yet to be fixed (you can still force a fullback into a corner too easily, the game freezes sometimes in the Career Mode pause menu) and there are a few things that keep the game from being perfect (no Brazilian league this year, lack of CONCACAF/CONMEBOL love), but, overall, this game is too great to pass up if you're a FIFA fan.

Ori and the Blind Forest is a spectacular Metrovania-style platforming game that pays homage to its genre and elevates it at the same time. Everything about this game is top-notch, from the moving narrative, to the exceptional controls, to the gorgeous graphics. As Moon Studios' debut game, they've knocked it out of the park.
Based on my experiences with the four Halo campaigns, it's clear that Microsoft and 343 Industries have set the new bar for remake collections. They could have easily just packaged Halo 2: Anniversary as a stand-alone title, exactly like they did with Halo: CE Anniversary on Xbox 360, and it would have been justifiable to recommend. Add in three more full Halo games, all with graphical and framerate enhancements, and The Master Chief Collection is very easy to recommend.
All things considered, Titanfall is insanely fun. After all the hand-wringing about odd visual resolutions, a 6 on 6 cap, and being little more than "Call of Duty with robots," it turns out that playing Titanfall is an absolute blast.
Whether you loved the original Flash version of Westerado or have yet to play it, this enhanced remake is worth downloading. It's a fine choice for fans of adventure games and Wild West lore alike. The game is always giving you something fun to do, and its open-ended nature warrants multiple playthroughs. After spending four hours walking a fine line between hero and outlaw, I'm just about ready to give this impressive game another go...and this time I'll be using a more trigger happy approach. Time to avenge my family. Again.
Mario Kart 8 feels like a re-definition for the series, without straying from its roots. The gameplay is fantastic, the visual presentation is stunning, and the social features will keep players coming back for more. The Wii U has a killer addition to its line-up that could easily drive sales of the console. Now that's something worthy of a victory lap.
