93 / 100 - Mario Kart 8
Jun 4, 2014

The best game on Wii U, and the reason you'll keep coming back to it. Grab some friends and Mario Kart 8 simply won't disappoint.

92 / 100 - Stardew Valley
Aug 26, 2016

Stardew Valley is an awesome experience. What it lacks in scale and scope, it makes up for with heart and variety. I spent dozens of hours being immersed in Stardew Valley and I think you will too.

The Witcher 3 is an incredible achievement by CD Projekt Red, with a huge world to explore, seemingly endless hand-crafted quests and a central story that holds the experience together marvelously.

If you're looking for a reason to buy a Wii U, Super Smash Bros is your best bet. It's the most polished and fun Smash Bros. game I've played. For someone who loves video games like I do, seeing all these characters, as well as the extra trophies and the amazing soundtrack, I have just as much fun perusing the little extra details as fighting itself. With so much content, I'll be playing for years to come.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is nothing short of astounding, from its immense world to the deep characters. The memorable adventure has flaws, but they pale in comparison to its numerous triumphs.

90 / 100 - The Swapper
Jan 2, 2014

As a new IP, The Swapper is one of the best around. The great puzzles, superbly told story and beautiful visuals make me excited for whatever comes next from the Finnish developer.

Out of nowhere, MachineGames have turned up to the first-person-shooter party with the old man of the genre and given the likes of EA and Activision an absolute beating. Wolfenstein: The New Order is an early shout for FPS campaign of the year.

Super Mario Odyssey may not reinvent the Mario formula, but it is a supremely satisfying adventure with a plethora of content and a penchant for the zany. This is a must own for Switch owners and fans of platforming.

88 / 100 - Splatoon

A new Nintendo classic. Splatoon is an artistic and competitive triumph that demands you play 'just one more round' again and again.

88 / 100 - Bayonetta 2
Nov 4, 2014

Bayonetta 2 is a great continuation of a series many thought would be dead. Thanks to Nintendo swooping in to help, we have another wonderfully outrageous action game that fans and newcomers alike can enjoy.

88 / 100 - Devil Daggers
Mar 1, 2016

A brilliantly finely-tuned - albeit somewhat malnourished - piece of arcade first-person action for the bunnyhopping, circle-strafing, monstrosity-massacring crowd. Highly recommended.

88 / 100 - INSIDE
Jul 15, 2016

Inside is dark, deep and deliciously bleak. Its ominous world speaks continually - even if it's never entirely clear what is being said. Its puzzles aren't mindbending, but they're duly affecting - extending the mechanical and thematic nuance nudged at by Limbo.

There is an overdose of top-notch cRPG content to be found within Divinity: Original Sin 2, with a deep, dense, slightly verbose adventure that almost completely fixes the failings of its predecessor, and has some great features like online and local co-op for the entire game.

The best multiplayer game on Switch, and the richest, strongest entry in the Smash series, at least in terms of sheer content. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate should prove to be a near endlessly entertaining go-to for friends who want a fun, enduring party game.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom improves and expands upon its fantastic predecessor in several ways. Link's new abilities provide significant, and excellent, changes to the core gameplay. Even the narrative offers an interesting backstory the land of Hyrule, while also giving Zelda time to shine. It's one of the best titles that the Nintendo Switch has to offer.

87 / 100 - Bloodborne

If you can get into its bloody, visceral and unforgiving rhythm, Bloodborne grabs and never lets go. Not until you've seen it all and triumphed over every abomination.

87 / 100 - Wasteland 2
Oct 25, 2014

An old school RPG that you can really sink your teeth into. There are hours of combat and questing to be had, and with a little more presentational polish, Wasteland 2 could've been something really special.

Even if Crypt of the NecroDancer lacked its trademark rhythm-action mechanics, it would still stand out as a cleverly designed, feature-rich, immaculately streamlined take on a classic roguelike formula. As it is, it's extraordinary.

87 / 100 - Undertale
Sep 28, 2015

The first game in a very long time to put an honest smile on my face. Smart, silly, and unfailingly creative from beginning to end. It's not much of an RPG, but only because it's too busy accomplishing so much more.
