4 / 5.0 - Unravel
Feb 29, 2016

Unravel is absolutely gorgeous to behold but it is held back by its simple gameplay design. Yarny is great and the game does a remarkable job of building his character and making players care for him.

Naurto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is the last entry in the series and it is arguably the best one yet. CyberConnect2 has nailed the aesthetics of anime/manga and perfected the combat system from earlier games to create this satisfying conclusion in the Ultimate Ninja Storm series. If you are a die-hard Naruto fan, this game is a must buy. If you are new to the series, then you can still pick this game to enjoy the spectacular story and action.

All in all, From Software's latest succeeds in offering the ultimate Dark Souls experience. Save for a few uninspiring boss encounters, this is indeed a return to form for the series and a must-play for Souls and RPG fans alike.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is the best entry in the series and the second best Naughty Dog game after The Last of Us. The game has a great pacing mixed with seamless gameplay and one of the most gorgeous looking graphics that we have seen in a console game so far. It is a fitting end to the adventures of Nathan Drake and friends.

All in all, though, it’s hard to find fault in Day of the Tentacle Remastered, for it is indeed one of those games from the yesteryear that come with a soul and are in a class of their own. Fans of the genre who haven’t had the opportunity to play the original owe it to themselves to give the remaster a look.

However, it seems that the issues from Episode 1 continue to persist in the game’s second episode. Trials of the Blood Dragon is a great idea on paper but its execution here leaves a lot to be desired. As a successor to Blood Dragon, it ultimately has a lot of expectations from the fans but while it delivers on the aesthetics and style of Blood Dragon, it falls short in gameplay.

As the third entry in the series, Zero Time Dilemma takes a lot of inspiration from the past games while lacking anything innovative to move the series forward. It is arguably a great game but it often feels less polished compared to its predecessors and the presentations suffers as a result.

10 / 10 - INSIDE

Inside is, in many ways, a spiritual successor to Limbo. It reiterates on the formula and design established by Limbo and polishes it to perfection. The game is full of thought provoking puzzles and a narrative structure that requires you to think, while also highlighting the negative side of the human society.
