Sports Gamers Online's Reviews

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered certainly provides entertainment. The game is well built, all things considered. Criterion and teams did an amazing job with this remaster. You will not go wrong with this bit of nostalgia, but do not expect anything other than a refined version of the original game. Those looking for the next Need For Speed fix will be better off continuing to play Heat.

7.5 / 10.0 - DiRT 5

Dirt 5 is a fun game no matter what type of racing you’re into. Even though it leans more to the arcade side of things, there’s enough here that should keep all race fans entertained for a while.

7.5 / 10.0 - FIFA 21

Enough has been done to keep players interested until the next-gen consoles arrive, but unless you’ve skipped the last couple releases, there’s nothing that screams must-buy this year.

When you’re spinning around on two wheels or slamming into opposing monster trucks, Monster Truck Championship had me feeling like a powerful man in a huge truck. For that, Monster Truck Championship accomplished exactly what it set out to do: let me experience the spectacle. If the trick system looks even remotely interesting to you, the game is absolutely worth a buy.

8.5 / 10.0 - eFootball PES 2021
Oct 1, 2020

If PES 2021 were a $60 game I could not recommend it to people who weren’t already fans of the Pro Evolution Soccer series. However, it’s a $30 game, and if you’re looking for an affordable single-player soccer experience, PES 2021 could be the game you’re looking for.

7.9 / 10.0 - Tennis World Tour 2
Sep 26, 2020

Tennis World Tour 2 presents as a solid tennis simulation game. The additions to court mechanics add a level of depth that will take some time to master. Having court surfaces, weather, and ball freshness attribute to the pacing and difficulty of the bout is a stroke genius and a win for simulation lovers. The thing is, sports titles have gone in many different directions since their incarnation, whether that’s being made for pure pay-to-win monetization or simulation. While drastically different, they share in the fact each one is geared to a specific audience and thus the levels of ‘fun’ differ from person to person.

Strictly speaking, WWE 2K Battlegrounds is a solid game. The arcade focus produces replayability as players return to unlock ongoing content. If you enjoyed WWE All-Stars, I do not see you would not enjoy WWE 2K Battlegrounds.

7.5 / 10.0 - NBA 2K21
Sep 9, 2020

While the demo lowered my expectations, admittedly because of the copy and paste presentation, 2K21 is enough of a change from 2K20 to stand on it’s own.

The problem? The game costs $49.99, and there’s just not enough here to support that kind of price tag.

No matter which way you spin in, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 is an excellent remake from top to bottom. The levels look great, the soundtrack is nostalgic yet modern, and the gameplay brings you back to sitting on your living room floor late at night playing with friends.

Simply put, I like it. WRC 9 is a fine additional to franchise. Nacon brought passion and care into the project and it shows. Simulation racing is at its finest and there’s plenty game modes to go around.

5 / 10.0 - Madden NFL 21

Dedicated players are going to pick this game up no matter what, but it’s tough to justify a $60 purchase on a game that feels too similar to what we’ve gotten the past three-plus years.

If you’re a hardcore cycling fan, there’s a good chance you’ll love this game. The game modes are rather simplistic, but the gameplay has the kind of realism that will appeal to the individuals who can’t get enough of cycling.
