In terms of gameplay and variety, Pokemon Scarlet/Violet is something this series has needed for years. I had lots of fun, despite some of its glaring technical issues.

Football Manager 2023 works great. It’s a powerful second life, second job or simply your biggest passion simulation tool. If you are familiar with the previous installment, you’ll enjoy new things, and if you want to try the series out for the first time, the 2023 edition is a great place to start and learn.

Grandeur and epicness have caused a little bit of harm to Ragnarok - the 2018 God of War is by all means a better game. Not all new things work in the sequel. Still, I believe that this is a game worth checking out, and if you liked the first one – you simply HAVE to.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is a video game equivalent of Marvel Cinematic Universe. There’s a lot of fun, gunplay feels great, and all of that sounds and looks excellent (it definitely is one of the prettiest games out there). But we still wouldn’t nominate MW2 a game of the year.

Bayonetta 3 is generally a very solid game and the best representative of the genre since the release of Devil May Cry 5. You can see that a lot of heart and effort was put into it and that they were trying to figure out how to let some fresh air into the series.

Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord is a game that can swallow you whole and make you forget about everything else – including its own flaws. That’s the beauty of this series – the gameplay, and particularly the large-scale, real-time combat, makes us shrug off ugly face models, underdeveloped diplomacy, or dumb AI.

Victoria 3 deserves high praise as a very good title. Building and changing a society becomes really engaging. The only worrying part is the plans to expand the game through small, but potentially expensive DLCs.

I believe The Last Oricru is worth your time because it offers a truly interesting way of shaping its story. But first, the developers have to eliminate tons of bugs and fix the game’s performance. Only then it will be a good RPG.

All these great visuals, puzzles, and dialogues create a really great video game that doesn’t have to be ashamed of its roots. Return to Monkey Island is more than simply a nostalgia act. It has its individuality.
