Lego Harry Potter Collection offers Switch owners a fantastic and fun thrill ride through the Harry Potter universe. While not as expansive as newer Lego games, this 2010 throwback holds up incredibly well and is still bursting with the charm that put Harry Potter and Lego games on the map in the first place.

With intense gameplay, insane difficulty choices, and a story where you love to hate the villain, you really can’t go wrong with Wolfenstein II. While clearly not recommended for all ages, the Switch affords you some privacy by playing in handheld mode so you can keep blasting away while your kids’ eyes are glued to the TV watching something a little more appropriate.

EXCELLENT - X-Morph: Defense brings a visually stunning and polished tower defense meets twin-stick shooter game to the Nintendo Switch. I loved the dynamic free-form tactics I was able to employ in every mission, and there’s just a lot of refined gameplay here. That coupled with so many visual effects happening in every battle, it created one of the most chaotically fun experiences I’ve had yet on this platform. For an MSRP of $19.99, I consider this a steal for an excellent game.

I think this game will exceed players’ expectations, especially fans of Castlevania and Ninja Gaiden. At only $10, it’s a steal!

Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk is a fun, rich, challenging, and deep dungeon crawling RPG experience. There are a ton of mysteries and anyone who loves to explore and find every nook and cranny of the environment will find many things to enjoy. I do recommend the TV experience over the handheld way to play, however both will give you an immersive and satisfying gaming experience. Do yourself a favor Nippon Ichi fans and pick this one up.

EXCELLENT - New Super Mario Brothers U Deluxe packs in a lot of content. It’s understandable to be hesitant to dive in at full price, however if you do you’ll be instantly reminded of the joy a Mario game can provide. If you haven’t played these games before it is a no brainer. Nintendo is as good as it gets in level design and control and this collection of the two Wii U games is a great reminder of this.

EXCELLENT - So many developers try to ape the Zelda formula and most fail. EXCELLENT - It’s not often that a current day indie game can meet or exceed the IP its drawing inspiration from, but Blazing Chrome somehow manages to perfectly capture the Contra III essence with some modern day sensibilities thrown in. If you enjoy 2-player co-op run and gun shooters, this one needs to be on your Switch right now.
