Nov 2, 2023

My Time at Sandrock brings something new to the crafting/farming genre with its desert setting and genuine resource scarcity paired with a compelling story about restoring a struggling ghost town filled with memorable characters to its former glory.

Evolving naturally from the experiences of Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Spider-Man 2 offers an experience with a bigger NYC, a bigger story with bigger stakes, and bigger, deadlier foes than ever before.

9 / 10.0 - A Highland Song
Dec 6, 2023

A Highland Song is a beautiful adventure, platforming and rhythm game that perfectly captures the joy of exploration and the magic of a journey through the wild, untamed Scottish Highlands.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is one of the very best metroidvanias of modern times that revives a fan-favorite franchise with a new coat of paint. Let's hope this means there's a bright future awaiting.

This clever puzzler is as elegantly designed as the gorgeous boxes that make up each level. It's an addictive game you can easily sink hours into as you unlock each lock and find each hidden secret.

I will play Granblue Fantasy: Relink for many more hours to come. It perfectly scratches that itch of slaying giant beasts to upgrade one of many individual characters to then slay even bigger beasts in this beautifully illustrated steampunk fantasy world.

9 / 10.0 - Balatro
Feb 19, 2024

To put it in terms as simple as the game itself, Balatro is the best deckbuilding roguelike I've played. And I've played as many as there are cards in a deck (almost).

9 / 10.0 - Stellar Blade
May 10, 2024

Offering superb combat and rewarding exploration, Stellar Blade is let down only slightly by somewhat flat voice acting, odd quality of life oversights, and a narrative that has a full skeleton, but wants for more meat on the bone. Hopefully a sequel can smooth out these rough edges.

9 / 10.0 - Dread Delusion
May 14, 2024

Not flawless, but nevertheless a masterpiece. Dread Delusion is a best hits compilation of all that 2000s RPGs had to offer and then some, creating one of the best video game worlds of this decade.

Mullet MadJack excites not just as an excellent shooter with its insanely intense and surprisingly vast array of moment-to-moment possibilities, but also as a sign of the maximalist, short-form future.

8.5 / 10.0 - Pokémon: Let's Go
Feb 13, 2019

Despite the game’s flaws, I had a great time with Pokémon Let’s Go. The atmosphere was charming and inviting, and the details created a fun visual experience. The new capture method was engaging, and made no two encounters the same. This game is the perfect way to ease Pokémon GO players into the console Pokémon games, and offers challenges to old and new players alike.

8 / 10.0 - Runbow

If you want a game that you can enjoy with your mates, then Runbow is a must-buy. It becomes harder to recommend if you intend to play it alone, but the solid platforming challenges are worth the price of admission.

All in all, I’d say The Last Wind Monk is a pretty solid game. The story is extremely interesting and the characters are fun to play as. While the controls can be funky, the artwork is beautiful and makes every minute playing the game worth it. If you are looking for something quick and different to play, grab a copy of The Inner World: The Last Wind Monk.
