When said and done, even with more questions than answers left to be asked, DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods – Part 2 does what it set out to do. It gives closure to our current story, allowing for the Doom Slayer’s story, for the time being, to conclude, opening room for the future of the franchise as there is seemingly a lot to be done with the entirety of the doom universe itself.

There’s some good here. There’s some bad here. There are a few odd choices that don’t quite lend themselves well to the overall experience. If you don’t care about getting access to everything you can so you can become a mogul the experience is great. For me, I like options. I like being able to find that one niche for goods I thrive in and making it my focus.

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox has also raised the bar for future entries, making it so that one could only wonder where the story is now and where it could go in the future. Will traversal be much the same or if there are more evolutions in the pipeline in the works for future titles? We can only hope.

The game itself could be triggering to some, but also, to others, a rather enjoyable experience that is both thought-provoking and artistically creative in every aspect possible. From the spot-on voice acting to character development, Death end re;Quest 2 shines and it easily becomes one of the best stories within the dark JRPG genre, setting on the same line of titles as Persona or Shin Megami Tensei titles.

The story often conflicts with the music, but the gameplay is tight and easy to do. As long as they add more to the game options, I could see this game being great, but for now, it just needs a little bit more.

Fatal Fury First Contact is no stranger to the fighting arena as a Neo Geo release. However, in modern times, age does begin to show behind the veil of nostalgia.

I look at it as a raw, uncut precious stone. If given more polish, and time, I believe it could be an amazing experience. Regardless of my experience with this title, I applaud the developer for tackling a series that has laid dormant for so long and await their future endeavors.

Where PT stood out from the rest, it was instantly noticeable how important it had come to the gaming community as well as the industry. Where Konami let their fans down, SadSquare Studio came up from a phoenix from the ashes, delivering one of the most amazingly designed horror titles to date that delivers a story that will haunt player s for hears to come.

At the end of the day, The Elder Scrolls Online: Markarth isn’t some giant leap and bound away from Greymoor, but rather, subtle addition to it. The only major additions you will find are both in the form of Quality of Life and replayability factors. Some may even find that the story alone is enough to trek through it.

The only part it disappoints in - is the story itself, which is short, almost forgettable, all-the-while, somehow enjoyable once you really dig beneath the surface and begin connecting the dots together in the universe that THQ Nordic has built.

Sakuna of Rice and Ruin is, at the end of the day, a game that dips its hands into the realm of RPG, sidescrolling hack-n-slash, platforming, and farming simulator. It reaches into so many baskets and does so to great success.

While it doesn’t bring anything particularly noteworthy to the genre, it’s still something fun, it’s a title that still offers some sense of enjoyment whether you are trying to beat the game or go through for your Daily Mission challenges just as you would in a mobile game. It’s a game, whether to mention it or not, is actually a perfect fit for the Nintendo Switch, but also comes with an $11.99 price tag that might have some bite their lip before they buy.

When releasing a next-gen variant of a game, it’s always worth taking notes on the areas to improve upon. This can include adding new features such as improved framerates, upgrading visual fidelity, improving upon the gameplay loop, and even adding all-new features to the experience.

Regardless, this will be a must for those that enjoy a good fighting game, but the price might be a bit steep for a re-release to some. In the end, it’s at least a nice reminder that SNK has always released a solid experience when it comes to fighting games and doesn’t seem to stop doing so in the years to come.

With double Marauders, Tyrants, and new enemies such as the Spirit, we see a lot of innovation coming, but staying true to what DOOM has offered as a series for over 25 years. If this is what the future continues to look like, DOOM will remain eternal.

For what it's worth, the standalone expansion is a step in the right direction in many ways for a future title and is truthfully a must-have experience for fans of the original.

Whether it's the fact the game truly feels like a pick-up-and-go title where crafting is left on a timer, the areas of exploration where paywalls feel like they existed, or the really shoddy gearing system, Vampire's Fall: Origins, is one that could have benefited from an overhaul before being ported.

My final thoughts on this collection are - for what they are they’re great. The updated art is great, and to my memory, these are the same games I played back on the PSP (though never beat them back then). I believe there’s a solid foundation present which can be used as a springboard to make another Disgaea themed platformer title featuring our favorite demon mascots.

Unfortunately, I went into The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters with an idea of what to expect. I already know some of what the game would have to offer having spent dozens of hours in its predecessor title. It’s a beautiful little piece of Korean horror that you SHOULD absolutely try whether or not you like survival horror titles.
