Evaluating Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed is a difficult task. On one hand, it does a great job of updating a 2006 game to match, at least, the visual standards of modern gaming, but on the other, it never took the chance to make sure that the gameplay and writing are of similar quality. Even if the intention was to retain that B-movie style, this remaster just feels like a missed opportunity that makes it quite difficult to have your mind blown in face of an alien threat – unless you’ve always been a fan.

This sequel will come as a surprise to hardcore fans, as the developers took a big risk trying to redefine their first person shooter. But while it retained certain DNA from the previous titles, it failed in distinguishing its structure from those games.

A twin-stick shooter rogue-lite that’s high on action, with a sprinkle of farming and romancing on the side. If you enjoy dodging bullets and multitasking, dive right in.

Long story short, Destroy All Humans! is a remaster that came five years too late, and even then, still comes up short in terms of delivery. But if you’re just back to rekindle an old flame on your current-gen console, slightly dated graphics and audio shouldn’t really deter you from destroying all humans!

Eko Software attempts to put a fresh spin on the ARPG genre in the Old World, but ultimately falls short in virtually all aspects. Truly a shame, since the Warhammer IP is replete with a ton of potential for a proper ARPG title

This game is a good way to catch up with the Full Metal Panic!‘s story before you embark on watching the 4th season. Gameplay requires patience and can be repetitive, but the story makes the game worth playing.

While it is a decent Metroidvania wannabe, Omega Strike offers little else that can surprise.

While it does suffer from certain flaws and bugs, Tiny Metal: Full Metal Rumble is still a definite step up from its predecessor, with its improved enemy AI as well as new gaming mechanics and one that fans of turn-based strategy games should check out.

Metro: Exodus is a decent FPS with open world-style level design, but fans of the previous entries may not be too happy with the various changes it has brought to the series.

Unless you're looking for single-player gameplay or a co-op cooking game on the cheap, you're better off picking up the more polished Overcooked instead.

6.6 / 10.0 - Park Beyond
Jun 27, 2023

It can be hard to compare Park Beyond to its obvious inspirations, even if there are many similarities. On its own, this is a park management sim that places emphasis on fun above everything else, even at the cost of a more involved management aspect. The space for creativity and freedom is unmatched, but the lack of depth and unpolished state of things can leave much to be desired.

Tales of the Neon Sea is a gorgeous point and click puzzle game that suffers from having too many puzzles, and not enough characterisation and storytelling.

While the core gameplay is solid and the game looks awesome, everything else surrounding it seems to need more work. Whether Nintendo and Next Level Games will do so remains a burning question, and it would be a waste to see the potential of Strikers Club be, well, wasted. For now, even with the excellence shown on the field and that lovable Nintendo charm, it is hard to see Mario Strikers: Battle League as anything more than a game that just doesn’t have legs. In this case, the game was lost even before a ball was kicked, and that is a massive disappointment to eager fans around the world.

6.8 / 10.0 - Anthem
Feb 25, 2019

BioWare's first foray into the looter-shooter genre absolutely nails high-flying action, but drops the ball in all other aspects. A disappointment at launch, Anthem nevertheless contains plenty of untapped potential that will hopefully survive being buried under a tidal wave of negativity. BioWare sorely needs to turn things around for this game, but whether or not they will succeed remains to be seen.
