The gameplay is deep, the characters are great, and the content is diverse.
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker highlights one of the best secondary characters in the Super Mario universe, and gives him a stellar adventure. Fans of the Wii U version should pick it up for the portable experience and extra levels while those who didn't play the game in 2014 will find a lot to love. It's another fantastic addition to the continually growing Switch library, and I can't wait to see what Nintendo does with Captain Toad in the future. I had a blast with Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. Hopefully, this is not the last time we see the titular hero. He can easily go on more adventures, and I'd love to be along for every single one of them.
Run to the Eshop and purchase this game. Sit down, draw your weapon, and fight alongside three powerful warriors in a stunning adventure that begs to be played.
Switch owners looking for an entertaining indie game should pick up Just Shapes & Beats. Not only is it a fantastic game on the console, it's one of the best indie games of the year.
After a few lackluster installments, Capcom has brought the iconic hero back to his roots with impressive results. Mega Man 11 is a love letter to fans, and it brings one of my favorite characters into the spotlight once again. The old-school gameplay will please fans, and the new mechanics will offer players (both old and new) a challenging experience.

Grab your Switch, pour a drink, and definitely pick up Afterparty.
Entering minds as Morris showed me that though so many characters were dead, people still allowed them to live on because of what they left behind. I put down I Am Dead with a new lease on life, a unique sensation for a video game to deliver. It's a puzzle game with a lot of heart. The characters are engaging, the world is delightful, the message is strong, and it's a fantastic way to escape into a game for a few hours. Hollow Ponds and Richard Hogg created an unforgettable experience that Nintendo Switch owners should definitely pick up. I Am Dead taught me that death isn't the end, but in fact, just the next step in all of our journeys.
Puyo Puyo Tetris delivers a wonderfully chaotic experience that combines the fast paced Tetris gameplay and the more strategic Puyo Puyo formula that has been a staple of the franchise since its 1991 debut. As someone who has been a fan of Tetris since I was a kid with a Game Boy, the thought of playing a new iteration of the popular franchise on Nintendo's Switch made me anxious. What makes Sega's reimagining so memorable is the inclusion of the Puyo Puyo gameplay.
Fans of strategy, simulation, and World War 2 games will find a lot to love. It's a game that asks a lot from its players, but trust me, the payoff is worth the price of admission.
Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a wonderful bundle to own. It’s great for seasoned fans or those looking to check out the franchise for the first time.
What I'm trying to say is that Flat Heroes is a game that all Switch owners should have in their library. It's a fantastic experience that I will be playing for months to come.
Fighting countless hordes of bad guys never got old and proved to be a fantastic way to relieve stress. One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is a game that's worthy of being in anybody's Switch collection. Step into the shoes of your favorite Straw Hat and enter the battlefield. Trust me — you won't be disappointed.
Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty is a faithful recreation of Abe's Oddysee, with many reworked mechanics and added Mudokens to save. Fans of the original should enjoy the changes Just Add Water implemented, while newcomers will be charmed by Abe's antics. The franchise has been influential since the late '90s, and New 'n' Tasty proves that the gaming sphere is better with more Oddworld titles in your library.
Pac-Man 99 is destined to become your latest addiction. Whether it's one match or ten matches in the same session, this is a pure pick-up-and-play title. The legendary Pac-Man gameplay is presented with a modern twist that is sure to leave fans happy. While the gameplay mechanics could have been explained better and the offline modes shouldn't have been locked behind a paywall, Pac-Man 99 is a fantastic reason to keep booting up your Switch. It's only been two weeks, and I can't imagine my Switch without Pac-Man 99 installed.
Skyhill is a game that had me hooked to my Switch from the opening moments. There aren’t any surprises, the enemy varieties are few, and the gameplay is repetitive. But you know what? I had an absolute blast with Skyhill. Its roguelike elements leave plenty to come back to, the unpredictable nature keeps players on edge, and the gameplay is fun.
It's an indie treat that will not only please fans of old-school video games, but also those who want a rewarding challenge.
Fans of action games and Nintendo Switch owners should go out and buy Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star. It's one of the best third party games currently on the console. I'll definitely be playing this for the foreseeable future.
Tesla Vs. Lovecraft is the type of game that someone comes up with, and thinks "this will never work." The premise is ludicrous, and shouldn't end up being a cohesive experience. Fortunately, this top-down shooter is a blast to play. It's fast-paced, hectic, difficult, fun-to-play, and ultimately, rewarding.
Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle is a fun treat for the Halloween season. If you're looking for puzzles, gore, and cute animation, this is a great game for you.
