Joey Davidson's Reviews
The whole package, at $9.99, is a good deal for Wii U owners looking to dive into a puzzle game. Pushmo World works on that level.
2014/15 is a good season for Madden. The defensive play and depth of control in each mode makes this a game that should reward series fans for a long time coming. It's also a good looking effort on the PlayStation 4. Superstar Mode is still a no show in the way it used to be, but the Connected Careers stuff encourages play with friends in a big way. If you have friends that dig Madden, Madden NFL 15 should be a good time. It's not a constant hit, but its success is strong.
Firefall is middling. If you have free time to spare, the fact that it won't cost you anything to try is a huge win. If it manages to sink its teeth into you over the first few hours, you might just be hooked. Personally, I'll pass.
As far as the new generation of NHL 15 is concerned, this package isn't nearly strong or complete enough to justify an immediate purchase.
This game will be an absolute slam dunk for certain players, though others will find themselves severely disappointed if they're expecting it to light the gaming world on fire.
If you've pecked at a dating sim before, like witty writing and are willing spend time exploring one game for all it's worth, Hatoful Boyfriend is an easy
The best way I enjoyed this game was to fire it up in the morning, grab a cup of coffee, and prepare for a few hours to vanish.
Nintendo's asking for $39.99 for the 3DS version of Smash. Quite honestly, this game meets and exceeds that value, no doubt about it.
While it doesn't reinvigorate the tower defense world quite like Defense Grid: The Awakening did, the tweaks it does offer are interesting enough to pull in
If you've enjoyed FIFA before, 15 is a strong year, and you'll likely get your money's worth.
I know I said I didn't have fun with the game, but that's because it was almost too much for me to bear during a holiday season. But for the gamer who wants to settle in for a really long ride with a well-written, lovingly crafted, difficult game set in a solid post-apocalyptic world, Wasteland 2 is great.
I loved Sleeping Dogs the first time around. As a fan, there's not enough in the Definitive Edition to call it "Definitive." It's adequate, and it's overpriced especially given the fact that the exact same game is selling for half the cost on PCs.
I'm addicted. In the middle of a holiday season that's seen and will see a lot of strong games, I don't want to put Civilization: Beyond Earth down.
It may not be a perfect experience, but it's a real blast for anyone who likes these types of games.
Sunset Overdrive is a game that Xbox One owners absolutely must have and that Insomniac fans can be proud of. It's pure fun.
An awesome Halo package with a temporary caveat thanks to multiplayer instability.
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U has instantly become my go-to game for couch multiplayer, and it's an absolute must-buy for Wii U owners.
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker has turned into a sort of habitual form of relaxation for me over the last week or so, and I'm kind of in love with it.
As I walk away from Far Cry 4, I can safely say that it's one of only a handful of games from the last year that I truly felt earned all of the time I dedicated
Xeodrfiter is a win for fans of classic gaming and the metroidvania genre.
