Jessica Meno's Reviews
Episode 1: Awake is a strong start to Before the Storm.
Episode 2, “A Brave New World,” puts more pressure on the player to make some serious decisions, but allows ethical deduction to make choices actually feel important.
Episode 3, “Hell is Empty,” offers a heart-wrenching yet satisfying conclusion to Before the Storm that makes players immediately want to return to the original Life is Strange.
Shadow of the Colossus will leave one of the most lasting impressions on any player that braves the journey to the Forbidden Lands.
As someone who hasn’t played the original Life is Strange, “Farewell” successfully piqued my interest in continuing to explore Chloe’s life and her relationship with Max.
Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 is a fresh revamp of the iconic Namco series.
The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit efficiently sets the stage for Life is Strange 2 with more player choices, more object interactions, and more secrets to uncover than ever before despite its short length.
The King’s Bird is a beautiful, daring platformer that lacks a strong narrative.
With improved interactions, fearfully relatable situations, and choices that feel consequential, Episode One is already one of my favorite episodes of the series.
Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum Session! hits all the right notes. And, with character customization and a competitive mode, is an excellent addition to the series.
Episode 2 doesn’t compare to the excitement I felt with Episode 1—mainly due to its lull in action (and suspicious amount of calmness) and feeling like I had little control over certain events as a player.
Episode 3 has some questionable turns, but reignited my love for the series.
