With its uninspiring story and its repetitive gameplay that lacks any sense of creativity, I find Eden Tomorrow really hard to recommend.

Unfortunately, the NBA 2K series has long been on a path that no matter how great things it accomplishes on its virtual court, it's hard to celebrate. Every year the situation with microtransactions and its commercial identity either remains the same or worsens. And every year we say how bad it is that these tactics overshadow a truly remarkable basketball game. The same, Unfortunately, we will also say this year. NBA 2K24 is better than ever in terms of gameplay, full of options, can provide truly endless hours of fun, and is a well-crafted tribute to the great Kobe Bryant. And all these not insignificant achievements, he has managed, to take second place. Pity.

Fire Emblem Engage features an excellent combat system that I'm sure fans of the genre will appreciate. It's smart, balanced, and with enough depth to absorb the player into its mechanics. It always rewards patience, organization and strategic combination of units and punishes rushing and "heroics". However, the rest of the game that frames this combat system is, unfortunately, in my opinion, disappointing.

NBA 2K23, especially with the Jordan Challenges, the addition of earlier eras and the noticeable improvements to the gameplay, looks more "crowded", more fun but also more greedy than ever.

While it left me satisfied as far as gameplay goes, Mario Strikers Battle League misses its goal when it comes to the single player and online aspects of it. Matches can be fun and intense and the gameplay can give a surprising depth to it, but unfortunately gets tarnished in terms of its production and content. If Nintendo chooses to support it through content updates then it has all the potential to show its worth.

The wonderful aesthetic of Trek to Yomi unfortunately cannot cover its several weaknesses in gameplay.

Unfortunately, although Nintendo has teased added content (with Golf coming first this summer), at the moment Switch Sports seems to offer only the essentials. The absence of even a simple single-player campaign hurts the game, depriving it, among other things, of a little personality that seems so much in need. For now, I would highly recommend it only as a party game that really comes to life and shows its quality with friends, whether online or not. In other words, it is closer to Wii Sports than to Wii Sports Resort.

Ghostwire: Tokyo is a game that mirrors its own city-world: A mixture of modern and old elements. It bears many imperfections both minor and major in terms of its opwn world engagement and the shallowness of its action part.

For another year, NBA 2K is a good basketball game that is surrounded by many problematic aspects, that mainly stem from its extreme monetization.

If you're in for an indie that's all about pure aesthetics and atmosphere, then Olija is just for you.

Godfall has something to offer only to those who are satisfied with a good battle system. Its basic gameplay, although it does not attempt something radically new, is generally well executed. But the rest of the package, unfortunately, is characterized by trivial and poorly executed choices that turn it into a, not necessarily bad, but, completely

As a package ment to celebrate Nintendo's most important character, 3D Mario All-Stars is disappointing.

Shenmue 3 is a very special and complex game. It could easily be someone's favorite game as well as a completely indifferent mediocrity to someone else.

For the second year in a row it is difficult for me to recommend an NBA 2K title, even though the series practically has no competitor. Improvements to the gameplay, though minor, are present and the content is still

NBA 2K21 remains, as every year, a great basketball game that has the potential to offer many hours of fun. But, the development team has done even less things this year to freshen up a package that is starting to become stale

Final Fantasy XVI is, in my opinion, an uneven title, with both its strengths and weaknesses. Its excellent combat system, its gorgeous, diverse world and the outrageous epic-scale spectacle it offers are undermined by a confusing style and a narrative that doesn't live up to the very nice introduction. Even so, the thrills it delivers are a given and its journey, despite its ups and downs, is full of memorable images, battles and set pieces. Another diverse and worthwhile chapter in the series' long history.

Kirby's Return To Dreamland Deluxe is a good Kirby game but not great. It's tuned to perfection to deliver the traditional, laid-back action-platform gameplay of the series, while also being a decent party game. The new content brings even more variety to the "package" and certainly adds points to it. It may not thrill any player and may lack that creative "spark" a bit, but it does the job flawlessly. It's a well-crafted and entertaining experience for all ages.

Hogwarts Legacy wants to offer a certain fantasy and does it purposefully and successfully. It is the "Harry Potter" game that the average fan has always dreamed of. The metaphor of the universe is done very aptly and the game world is for me, its greatest achievement. Beautiful and lively, it is, I would say, in itself a reason to deal with it, even if he is not particularly moved by Harry Potter. Beneath this shiny wrapper, there is a well-realized but trivial open world world that carries with it almost all the pathogenesis of the genre, while, narratively, although it has good times, the main story moves in shallow water. Despite its striking weaknesses, however, it is so extensive and meticulously constructed that I consider that as a whole, it fulfills its purpose.

Sparks of Hope seems like an ideal sequel. It tries to develop every aspect of Kingdom Battle that was limited, but it also tries to freshen up even the systems that admittedly worked perfectly.

Nevertheless, the Splatoon 3 is more like the first. An enriched, refined version of the previous ones, a refinement of the ideas introduced from the series to the second chapter and not an attempt to overturn or -even small- Redefinition. So on the one hand, we are talking about the best -with ease- Splatoon to date, on the other hand, if you have tried the series and it has not convinced you, there is nothing here that will make you change your mind.
