Hopefully the next Sonic title can be as great as Sonic Colors or Sonic Generations, or even as decent as Sonic Lost Worlds, but coming from former Naughty Dog members, this was definitely a letdown.
For fans of the Sword Art Online series, getting Re: Hollow Fragment is a no-brainer. Aquria did well with Hollow Fragment as it provides an experience almost identical to the series. It should, at least, hold enthusiasts long enough for Artdink's upcoming Sword Art Online: Lost Song.
I would definitely recommend the game if you’re both fan of the Lego series and the Jurassic Park movies.
If you enjoy a well written story, great characters, excellent voice acting and music and interesting (possibly time consuming) puzzles, this game is a great pick up for both veterans and newcomers alike.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, despite its issues, is still an improvement over the original Xenoverse, although minimally. It has its letdowns but long-term it will offer a better experience due to Bandai Namco's promised year of post-release support, including three DLC packs, as well as the present gameplay improvements and slightly more content. If you’re a Dragon Ball fan and enjoyed the first game, Xenoverse 2 will leave you off satisfied.
Overall, Curtain Call is an amazing title that satisfies both aficionados of the rhythm genre and Final Fantasy series' soundtrack. With its great music rhythm-action styled gameplay combined with the amazing selection of songs, it takes players through a truly musical experience. In addition to the great selection of songs, the amount of content featured from the series, including the amount of present characters is satisfying as well. I would recommend this game to fans of the Final Fantasy series and rhythm action games combined.
Barring the frame rate drops and sometimes clunky interface, if you're looking into getting into the genre, Story of Seasons definitely does the job well and will easily occupy you with fun and addictive gameplay for hours on end.
Overall, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 is the best installment in the series as it has both great gameplay mechanics, pleasing fans of the Musou genre, as well as plenty of content and modes faithful to the original series, which easily satisfies One Piece fans.
If Nintendo realizes that a large enough audience still exists in the West, the next entry in the franchise might be released in the west without such a long wait (and possibly a physical version for North America as well), another incentive for supporting Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water. For now, I'll just sit back, turn all the lights off, and enjoy the game.
Despite the lack of content at launch, the title is incredibly fun. Even if there are only two modes available so far, the gameplay is so unique that a purchase is worthwhile. I do believe it could have more potential if it included voice chat or an extra mode or two at launch, but past that, Splatoon has the kind of longevity that will keep me playing for a long time.
For those who never purchased Ultimate (such as myself), then Last Round is definitely worth the purchase.
I definitely would recommend picking up Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, as it features a decent story, a solid cast of characters, fun gameplay and tons of replayablity value mainly due to the New Game+ content that adds even more story.
Overall, Malicious Fallen is a remaster worth investing in. Not owning Rebirth on the Vita, fixing the camera issue of the PS3 version, and improving the frame rate in both versions, I had a better experience and got to explore the chapters I missed out from the saga. It's a great action game that gave me a lot of challenge, which I always ask for. At half the price of your average retail game, I say it's definitely worth it.
Overall, for those looking for their Strategy RPG fix, especially on the PS4, should definitely pick up Disgaea 5. The new features make the gameplay experience even better. Of course, the over the top humorous setting of the game, including the story and the characters never ceases to entertain.
While J-Stars Victory VS+ doesn’t compare to the previous Shonen Jump crossover titles, it is definitely a must get for Shonen Jump fans who would love to see their favorite characters clash in battle.
The Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate expansion is definitely one of the series' best installments, as it has so much content to keep Musou aficionados satisfied. While the game is great, and it does a very good job at giving the genre a good name, I wouldn't recommend it to fans outside of it; however it's a good entry point that new players can jump into.
Overall, Samurai Warriors 4 is one of the best Musou titles that Omega Force has made so far. While the game sometimes can get repetitive, especially with the similar objectives, it's still pretty fun to slay giant groups of enemies coming your way.
I would definitely recommend Resident Evil HD Remaster for anyone who needs their classic Resident Evil fix on PC or next-gen consoles.
Fans of the Dragon Ball franchise and its video games would be remiss not to pick up Dragon Ball XenoVerse.
If you've been missing your Monster Hunter fix in the recent Sony platforms, Toukiden Kiwami is the best substitute you'll find around.
