The Dark Eye: Memoria is a fitting to sequel. It continues the story well improving on it in every way. There isn't too much progress in regards to gameplay, however the new character helps add new layers to an already great format. If you enjoyed the first one, this is a must play.

The Dark Eye: Memoria is a great representation of a classic point-and-click adventure that is heavily steeped in The Dark Eye mythos. While the game should fulfill all your expectations for an adventure game you might fall victim to some of the game's puzzle frustration. Perhaps fans of The Dark Eye role-playing tabletop game can overcome this easier than an adventure game enthusiast.

Yes, in some places the story feels a bit rushed and Geron is just as gray as ever, but the adventures of Sadja bring life into the game. The ending feels right and the fact that you have a choice finally plays into the overall theme of breaking free from the chains of faith.

The Dark Eye: Memoria is practically based on its predecessor, which it certainly does not disgrace. The game beautifully complements the overall story and elegantly concludes it. It's a shame, however, that the game is accompanied by the same mischief as its predecessor. The characters come across as austere and stiff, with no distinctive feel. This fact is all the more accentuated by the failed dubbing, which unfortunately detracts from the overall enjoyment of the atmosphere and enjoyment of an otherwise good game.
